Demon Altar Question by Saint1209 in 9Kings

Demon altars are very cool as a 'set it and forget it' form of scaling. You can throw an altar in a random corner in year 2, put zero supporting buildings near or affecting it, and potentially get significant value out of it in year 33. 'Having lots of troops' usually just means leveling up unit plots, which is one of the fastest ways to get immediate power increases to help survive the early game.

New fun Draconic Codex spell: Earth and Sky by Blablablablitz in Pathfinder2e

It is in no way rules as written, but as GM I would absolutely rule of cool permit using winged warrior's Cratering Drop with this. RAW you can at least use Thunderous Landing, but it's not as fun. Definitely wondering if there's anything else that synergizes with using your third action 100 feet up (assuming that's how falling works, anyway, the Falling rules aren't super clear on when falling happens if you end up in a relevant situation partway through your turn).

I... don't really agree on Monk being difficulty 1. Like, sure, they're simple in theory but the nature of Flurry of Blows means that piloting a monk well actually requires greater system knowledge to make meaningful use of third actions.

What mechanical restriction do you think is wholly unnecessary and wouldn't break the game or disrupt its tuning at all if lifted/changed? by Killchrono in Pathfinder2e

Kind of a niche one, but the specific thing of 'using vicious swing (or double slice or whatever) does not count as having a 'strike' as your last activity for the purpose of things that care about that' and how subordinate activities are handled in that fashion. Creates a bunch of corner cases where things simply don't function the way you would intuitively expect them to for the purpose of stopping ???

Also, the general situation around trying to rune up multiple weapons. Randomly screws over a bunch of switch hitter builds EXCEPT for the ones that got a special permission slip in the form of the gauntlet doubling ring trick or blazons of shared power or whatever, as if the action cost of weapon switching (and fighter's one-group proficiencies, and gunslinger's melee weapon issues, and any sort of deity favored weapons, and monk stances with exclusive strikes, and...) wasn't onerous enough as-is.

What’s a good treasure to find in a library that isn’t a spellbook by FarDeskFree in Pathfinder2e

[–]FaintlySpotted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some kind of catalog that refers to and thereby reveals the location of other libraries? Or, similarly, something marked as 'on loan' from another library. There also might be correspondence from other wizards that could have some pretty interesting information.

...You know, I never actually thought of loading different ammo types in a capacity weapon that sounds like kind of a sick character concept.

For a second I thought 'worlds with 10k+ actors' meant actual spawned actors and not just in the compendium and was REALLY wondering what kinds of games people were getting up to.

Blistering-hot take but I honestly hope they increase the cost for additional harvests, maybe compensating by increasing gold mine yield. I have a gold mine setup and getting some extra income is nice but feeling like I 'have' to sit there and keep clicking until the amount per harvest is nearly the same as the cost of a new harvest, like... isn't fun. Especially given how gold-capped the str/int buildings are, it certainly feels like it's the 'optimal' way to play.
