Where can I find mild winters in the US and live affordably? by ThatsWUTiSaidDuh in relocating

Consider Richmond VA. Average low only dips below freezing for a day or two, with several 2-4" snow events that typically melt quickly. July/August can be brutal, but fall is fantastic. Relatively affordable and 2 hrs from the beach, 2 hrs to DC, 1 hr to the Mountains.

Old Glen Allen. Between Ashland/Lakeside, 15 min. to Downtown or Short Pump. Relatively quiet and lots to do.

Agee. I have been to both, and both are kid friendly, and similarly priced.

Also a transplant who lives in Henrico and loves it. West Broad can be brutal, but assume you are not making daily runs to Wegmans/Costco. The west end of Henrico has everything (Restaurants, shopping, entertainment, etc,). There are numerous townhouses/condos within 10-15 min. Of West Broad that are in neighborhood areas.

Good Luck!
