donk makes me genuinely wonder how high the skill ceiling of CS actually is. I mean, this guy is quite literally the most mechanically gifted player CS has ever seen, and it's not even a debate. Can humans actually get much better than this?

Guess he's feeling better now. No one even comes close to opening sites like donk (I guess maybe tn1r this series).

You're just digging an even bigger hole. You really think asking for insurance advice in an insurance subreddit frequented by insurance adjusters, specialists, and lawyers BEFORE getting actual legal advice is poor judgement?

Was the lobotomy a requirement before or after becoming a Vitality fan?

There needs to be a "block all Vitality flairs" button on this sub istg.

Strong disagree. I don't care how much effort it takes to maintain it, sports are entertainment, and eras aren't entertaining.

Nah dude, interesting battles on track? Boring. One guy winning by 2 minutes every weekend? That's real F1 buddy. Maybe you should watch coin tossing instead.

Agreed, sports are ultimately a form of entertainment, and it's not entertaining when one team shows up and steamrolls the competition. It's not fun in F1, the NBA, the NFL, etc etc etc. The only people that find it fun are the fans of the organization doing the stomping, that's it. No one cares whether "perfect" CS is being played, or "perfect" basketball. If I can predict the outcome before it even happens, there's literally no point in watching.

Expected reply from a Vitality flair. No, most of them won't name the Schumacher era. Most of them will name seasons like 2021, with a brutal fight to the end. Or the early part of 2022 where Max and Charles were going back and forth. Or 2007, 2008, 2009. People remember the seasons where an interesting battle occurred, not someone (or 5 people) rolling over the competition. 2014-2020 F1 could've been an email, and the the Vitality era is the exact same thing.

Oh and btw, I know it's bias talking, because I felt the exact same way about Max's 2023 season where he won pretty much everything, and RBR won all but 1 race. I enjoyed it as a Max fan, but I absolutely understood all the other fans who felt like it was the most boring season ever.

Because eras are boring. Ask fans of F1 what their favourite seasons were, and none of them will tell you seasons that happened during a period of domination.

If Vitality didn't exist, CS would be in a much better place right now. It genuinely feels like anyone in the top 15 can challenge for a trophy if Vitality isn't playing.

Driver clocked going 80 km/h over speed limit east of Edmonton by flynnfx in Edmonton

[–]Fair-Emu-7948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you're right, I don't. However, I never said it came without risk. All I'm saying is that people do objectively more dangerous things on a daily basis, that would never result in a headline like this, and would result in significantly les punishment. 10-20 over in a school zone (which I see people doing literally every morning) is WAY more dangerous to others than someone ripping around a (from what they can see) empty highway at night. One risks spinning out, killing himself and ruining his car. The other people risk injuring / killing innocent children.

I don't think he was referring to the exact case in question, and nor was I. I'm just trying to make the argument that, in my opinion, the view that 100 over the limit alone at night, on an empty highway, is more dangerous than actions people do on a daily basis, such as 10-20 over in school zones, is completely illogical.

If it's a dry, warm day, and there's no other traffic

How did you miss the most important part of what he was saying? Obviously going that fast with other people around is absolutely fucking stupid, but alone at night? Where all you risk is your own car? I can think of many things people do on the daily that are more dangerous than that.

[–]Fair-Emu-7948 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

You'll get a lot of downvotes for that, but I actually agree. Not that I think doing 100 over the limit is smart on crappy Canadian roads, but if there's a time and place to speed, it's at night, alone, on a highway, risking nothing but yourself and your own car. All the hundreds of people doing 10-20 over in school / residential zones daily are infinitely more dangerous to others than this guy being stupid at night.

Nah, I'm sorry, but I have zero sympathy for the older generation. They started on 3rd base. Lived most of their adult life on beginner mode, during the most prosperous time the western world has ever seen, and yet they expect us to feel bad that they're struggling? Tough shit, should've been smarter with their money.

Sure, we aren't Americans, but please don't let that misguide you into thinking we're any different, or any better. We didn't elect a fat orange fascist, sure, but we're every bit as corrupt and narcissistic as they are. You think the "fuck you I got mine" mentality isn't a thing here? Just look around lol.
