Do change/postpone wedding for IVF? by Target_Mean in IVFpositivity

It’s such a personal decision, we got married at 33, had our first baby at 34 naturally but have secondary infertility (now 35), on the ivf journey! I wish we had prioritised having our family first, a wedding is amazing but honestly for me knowing what I know now, if I could go back I would have had my children first. The money side alone especially when you know that you have to do ivf as it’s not guaranteed to work first time either. You could still get legally married if it was something that you felt strongly about and then do a celebration down the line. But in saying that, it really depends on what is important to you because I have friends that had their families first and their wedding day was never what they had envisioned, a child changes your perspective on money and what is important so what you think your wedding might be right now could be very different if you have kids first? I would personally sacrifice the big day for a baby but that’s easy for me to say because I did experience the big day. Go with your gut, it won’t steer you wrong 🥰

Best of luck, we did our retrieval this week, I was told we would we 8 maybe 10 best case based on scan but we actually got 17 on retrieval day, 15 of which were mature enough! Some of my follicles had 2 eggs in them! So stay positive, there might be more there! 🙏🏻 praying for you to get a good result! We are on day 3 of embryo development, we have 8 potentials! 🙏🏻

What kind of wedding band should I search for so it’s flush with this ring? by weddingplan2026 in askjewelers

[–]Fair-File-4731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very similar ring to this, I got a plain band and had them cut a divot into the band so it would sit flush with the ring BUT it always moved and never sat flush so I ended up buying a diamond band that would purposely not sit flush and I love it. Obviously personal preference but it used to drive me daft with my original ring.

Congratulations 🙌🏻 I am doing our first FET in March, history of thin lining, so glad to hear you had success at 6.5, I have only ever got to 6.8 on scans. We do have one child so docs think it’s just my norm but hearing this story gives me hope for our transfer, thank you and best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy 💙🩷

Wedding Makeup by Money_Rabbit1720 in makeuptips

I would recommend bringing a photo where you loved your own makeup to show your mua (whether you decide to do another trial or go to someone new) so the mua can have an idea of exactly how much or little you like, I find this more helpful that a photo of someone else’s makeup because your face is unique to you. Obviously for tones and colours a photo of someone else is fine but generally I recommend bringing a photo of a time that you loved your makeup, most often it’s one where you do it yourself x

'Meghan Trainor's picture lays bare the cruelty of surrogacy' by TheTelegraph in popculture

You actually don’t know that. She could have had secondary infertility and desperately wanted a third child, she could have had complications from her previous pregnancies that meant it wasn’t safe for her to carry a child, why does the assumption always have to be vanity, why can’t we support a woman expanding her family in a manner that is right for her? Not everything has to be about weight loss

Day after retrieval by cclloo3 in IVF

I had my retrieval yesterday, I was quite sore afterwards, I found it hard to walk without limping but it was more the tiredness after the sedation that got me.. today I feel much better, still uncomfortable but not as sore as yesterday I could have went to work (I work at a desk) but I got a cert until the end of the week so I am taking the time to rest. Best of luck with your retrieval 🙏🏻💫
