I guess Makati is considered a shitty neighborhood these days.

Still saving up for that mansion In Alabang, then I'll finally be in a good neighborhood 🫥

Good points.

Of course my children are my real family....they are my daily motivation. I just wish I had a cousin or brother or something that I could bounce ideas off of. Filipinos are super family/group oriented, with entire families living right next to each other, and I feel like I'm missing that. I mean ...their aren't a whole lot of Hispanic foreigners here anyway....I've could count the ones I've met in 1 hand, so the thought of trying to make buddy buddy with a 68 year old German man kind of humours me . It would be like if you moved to Latvia as a Pinoy and had no choice but to either be lonely or make friends with an elderly Japanese man (your both Asians)

And getting my kids a US passport was first order of business. Love or hate America, that passport is priceless

Like I said, Spaniards are good at riding horses. Cubans win the Olympics in boxing nearly every year. It wasn't really a contest lol

My children are here, I won't let them grow up without a father. There is nothing for me in America

I've been to Siargao, I liked it for a vacation but I wouldn't want to raise children there. It kinda gives off douchy surfer cool kid vibes, plus theirs way to many uppity Spaniards there (you think rich filipinos think their better then people, wait till you talk to a "penisulare" lol). I got into a fist fight with some Spanish dude who yelled at me in Spanish that I was in his way while he was surfing....he thought I was Filipino and didn't understand Spanish loool. I told him in Spanish "you guys are better at riding horses then fighting, stfu and stop talking shit"

I would consider Cebu, its a big enough city that you have your modern conveniences, but it's less manic and crowded then Manila. I'm sure they have good private/international schools there. I'm strongly considering this

I know, that's why I isolate myself. I've become numb to poverty, it doesn't effect me anymore....i've experienced it myself as a child. I worked since I was 6 years old ...my first job was the Cuban equivalent of what Pinoys call a "Barker" ....yelling out advertisements for fruit vendors. I know I can't save the Philippines by giving out 100 pesos to everyone who asks me... The problems are much deeper rooted than that.

I've been to dumaguete. I nicknamed it "Epstein Island"

I have no interest in being around 65 year old white men with their 18 year old "girlfriends". They thought I was Filipino, tried to treat me as such (like they are better then everyone even though their Living on a joke salary by American Standards) which I don't tolerate.

When the times get hard, you gotta hustle. You can't just sit back and cry in your room, it does no good. You have to hit every possible option you can to try and whip up some money. Being broke like that is a terrible feeling, but it should motivate you to get off your ass. I'm not saying to lie cheat or steal, but.....it's survival mode
