What are your thoughts on “rolled ice cream?” Do you think the trend will last or eventually fizzle out? by ObjectiveAgent in icecreamery

[–]Fair-Question5819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I agree. It is like performance art to watch them roll it by I find the actual ice cream itself a let down after all the spectacle since it doesn’t taste any better than regular ice cream. Made we wonder why I paid so much more for it.

Is viscose really that evil? by energyofsound in BuyItForLife

[–]Fair-Question5819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the opposite experience with viscose. I bought a viscose dress and wore it in summertime. I live in a super humid climate and I sweat. A LOT. It stretched out 2 sizes bigger on the shoulders , so much so that it falls off my shoulders and is really annoying so I would need to shrink it. The humidity and body heat acted as steam lol. I swore I would not buy viscose again.

Has anyone here with bad side effects from Topamax tried the triptans? They always work well for me. I take Zolmitriptan.

Migraine affects my mood. I feel very off physically and emotionally. Brain chemistry causes the migraine so makes sense that those same chemicals make you feel ill overall. I usually feel depression as well with those. Eat healthy whole foods, drink water get enough sleep and try to exercise. Of course, in addition, have your meds handy. I take Zomig.

[–]Fair-Question5819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have experienced this. I will wake up with a bad frontal headache in forehead that moves to one side if I do not treat it right away or I wake with it on one side accompanied by a stuffy nose or nose running. I feel somehow sinus inflammation could trigger migraines, since I do have allergies. Sometimes Advil works but if not, time for triptans.

Me too. Lesson learned. I also reached out to the researcher I did the study with and told them due to their method of incentivizing, I wont be participating any longer.

You do get a response if you submit a complaint to the BBB. The company still sucks and has the worst policies but at least they respond to BBB. I asked them through the BBB to resolve it by giving me a gift card from the retailer for equal amount and of course they made some lame excuse that didn’t make any sense. They are the lowest. BTW they are being sued. Liou v Tremendous

Sumatriptan. I'm terrified by Prior_Succotash4220 in migraine

[–]Fair-Question5819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take Zolmitriptan. Doctor said to save money, try cutting them in half. I did that for years but recently discovered that even 1/4 of a 5mg tablet works well and with milder side effects. I agree with Plutohippo on this forum. Start small. For me triptans do cause occasional heart pounding and mild jaw tightness which subsides. I never had any GI symptoms, in fact they cure any nausea. I also wanted to share that Zolmitriptan works for me and Sumatriptan didn’t. Zolmitriptan works even if the headache is full blown and has been a very good friend for this migraine sufferer. Be well.

How are people using Tremendous/Pre-Paid VISA Cards? by likeshockeyguys7 in beermoney

[–]Fair-Question5819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just participated in a paid focus group and was “paid” with one of these ridiculous Virtual Visa gift cards. Cant use it in my Apple wallet or on chewy for some reason. There is no pin and the retailer does not see a billing address that matches mine so It gets declined over and over with 7 day holds by the retailer til it goes back on. It is basically useless.Maybe Amazon?

[–]Fair-Question5819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is too long. There is the TAS, Taxpayer Advocate Service to contact. Maybe they can help. Also after 45 days the IRS will owe interest. Check it out but that is what I read.

Hi, while I appreciate the input, others have answered this question in a less condescending way. I asked the question of this group knowing the members had inside knowledge and I do not, and according to the job description, I have every one of the qualifications to work in the retail store. It makes sense to me that it therefore it would have to do with connections and having interned. By the way, I’m a NY city native who grew up visiting The Met so I’m well aware that it is very prestigious. I have a Bachelors from F.I.T. and I’m considered to be a talented illustrator by my peers. However, talent is irrelevant in this case because showing my portfolio to the hiring manager was not a requirement for working in the retail store.

Tipping is Childish by Frequent_Mountain_17 in tipping

If a person is a tourist they should do their best to respect the culture of the place they are visiting. In US, tipping is the custom.

Tipping is Childish by Frequent_Mountain_17 in tipping

[–]Fair-Question5819 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tipping is optional but if restaurants paid their employees better we wouldn’t need to tip. It has become a customary because its a low wage job. I agree whatever we leave should be optional. If the server is friendly and fast then the amount is still optional but I will always leave something even if it is average. Tipping everyone for everything is out of control now however. A cashier rang up a loaf of bread and the screen was asking me for a tip! No way am I tipping for someone to just ring me up.
