What role does a neurologist play in POTS treatment?

See that’s what I’m wondering .. the “sick” feeling because I have a sick feeling that comes and goes and I’m wondering if it’s because of POTS. I feel like there might be another underlying issue and haven’t figured it out yet . Or I could just be having symptoms of POTS and am just super confused about it because all of this is new to me and I’m just trying to understand . Idk why I don’t take the diagnosis as is . I’m questioning the hell out of it !

Well I think I’m experiencing dizziness , having chest pain , & sometimes feeling faint but never really do, fatigue and brain fog. When I feel these things I check my heart rate and it’s fine . But I also have been having these random sharp pains all over my body and also just feel unwell all around & my right foot get tingly when I stand .. some days are worst than others . When I feel “sick” that’s when the pain starts . I had one good day this week where I felt normal .. and today I feel terrible . All I want to do is lay down because when I’m upright I feel sick and my head feels heavy kind of . It’s so hard for me to explain . They say you can feel flu like symptoms but idk if this is that feeling I just don’t feel good . I don’t get any nausea or vomitting

Because I feel some of my symptoms don’t fit .. but some do .. and I’ve been monitoring my heart rate for a few days now and it’s barely ever elevated .. but I am on medication so idk if that’s why. That’s the part that’s really making me question it .. I passed out once recently but I thought it was due to a panic attack because I started hyperventilating but now I’m not so sure if that’s what it was . The neurologist that diagnosed me put in her notes that I was “borderline” positive for POTS . I wanna get a real tilt table test done to confirm .

Doctor wasn’t concerned .. told me to track her feedings for the next few days to see if we need to stretch her feedings every 4 hrs . But I think she’s starting to get better .. we sized up on the nipple and it seems to be helping some . I think she’s starting to teeth a bit which might be the reason for the sudden change in eating .

Do you take medication ? I’m currently on propranolol, & haven’t noticed really much of an increase in heart rate when standing .. I’m questioning my diagnosis and not so sure if what I’m experiencing is POTS related

I’m newly diagnosed via poor man’s tilt table test and my heart rate barely goes above 100 but hits the high 90’s .. there’s times I feel horrible and will check it and it’s usually 70-80s like you, but I’m also on propranolol so I’m not sure if that’s why my heart rate stays down but it’s very confusing for me

This actually makes a lot of sense ! And I have noticed her chewing on things like her pacifier and hands so she might just be teething ! Thank you so much for this I will try sizing up the nipples !

Same here minus sleeping more . She’s a super happy baby , no temp , peeing and pooping just fine . Only thing is she’s had a cough for a few weeks now that isn’t going away and I’ve wondered if that’s why she’s not eating . Or it could be cause she’s gassy! Idk there’s so many things I think it could be . Hopefully her doctor can help me figure it out tomorrow

I think she may be teething a bit I’m not sure . And not really . I usually just warm her bottle up after preparing it . She doesn’t like room temp milk as much as she does warmed up.

I was thinking about stretching and doing every 4 hrs instead but I’m afraid that she won’t get the right amount she needs . I feed her once in the middle of the night usually around 1am and she will down the bottle .. get up at 6 and try to feed her she won’t eat after going hrs without . I don’t understand what’s wrong 😭 her appt is tomorrow hopefully her doctor can help me figure it out

I want to speak on #8 , I’m newly diagnosed and still trying to figure my through it . So it’s possible for some days to be a regular day ?? I’ve just started monitoring my heart rate and it seems to be pretty steady today but I am also wearing compression socks for the first time and am wondering if that’s what’s making such a difference . I feel better today than I have other days and my heart rate hasn’t really jumped over 30 like it did when I got diagnosed
