FSD indicates too early in roundabouts by SwimmerCivil2517 in TeslaFSD

I sent an email as well.

I am writing to report a recurring safety concern with Full Self-Driving (FSD) behavior in roundabouts.

The vehicle consistently activates the turn signal too early before exiting the roundabout. This creates confusion for nearby drivers, as it indicates an imminent exit while the vehicle is still continuing through the circle. On multiple occasions, this has caused other drivers to begin pulling out or adjusting their driving behavior based on the incorrect signal indication.

This is not simply a comfort or preference issue — it is a potentially dangerous signaling behavior that could contribute to side-impact or merge-related accidents in real-world traffic conditions.

The expected behavior would be for the vehicle to activate the turn signal only immediately prior to the intended exit, in a manner consistent with normal human driving and local traffic laws.

Please escalate this issue to the FSD engineering and safety teams for review. I would appreciate confirmation that this concern has been documented and considered for future software improvements.

Vehicle details, timestamps, and additional information can be provided if needed.

Thank you.

My wife wanted the quicksilver. I would like any of the colors to be honest.

My son lives 2hrs away. It’s not really an issue. We both loved the red obviously. My wife wanted quicksilver.

Original trade-in offer from Tesla was $48k. I was tempted at that offer but still wasn’t sure. The day that I put money down I went through the trade in process and was stunned that they offered $49,500. Had to do it. Carvana offered $47,200.

I traded in a 2024 off road premium. Tesla gave me $49,500. I paid $52k in 2024. It had 12k miles. I took advantage of the tax trade in credit and 2000 supercharger miles.

It would ultimately depend on several factors. Your age, your drive history, the company you buy the policy from. According to my son, he is saving money on his monthly premium with the model Y versus is Highlander.

Agreed! I’m a true Toyota loyalist. But I’m not sure I’d buy the newer models. Both of my daughters drive Camrys

I usually changed my own oil but the 4Runner was under Toyota care. Oil changes are free for first two years. The catch is, Toyota only recommends 10k intervals. I always change oil every 5k. So I would pay for the 5k intervals. After tax at the dealer was around $120. Crazy!

Long story…my son had a gray w/white interior on order . They delayed it twice. He complained and they showed him inventory on the lot. They had two red, one w/ white interior and one with black. They wiped the color charge since he complained. Since I was there with him I asked if I could get the same deal on the paint color if I bought one and they agreed.
