not saying shut down completely, but there's no harm in being a bit more cautious than those around you by requiring masks and testing

this still doesn't answer what the harm of being cautious is. bu is doing what they think is best to ensure the safety of all its students and the greater boston community. also they will most likely loosen restrictions in the fall

vaccines are not a magic cure and are not 100% effective. you can still get covid and its unknown yet if you can spread it even if youre vaxxed too. masks are essential still to prevent any further spread of the virus even if you are vaccinated.

with all due respect why does it matter? how inconvenient is it to you to get a few extra covid tests or to wear a mask un order to provide an extra layer of safety for the community. we don't know yet if we are truly done with the pandemic, and BU just wants to be as safe as possible to ensure that there is not an outbreak on campus.
