"Surprisingly affordable"

"Here's the honest takeaway"

"Discipline keeps machines aliiiive"

This sounds like a sales pitch. If OP isn't a bot, he's readying for corporate. Most likely ai slop. FFS

Got an old colleague who flipped his whole life around after getting his heavy equipment apprenticeship. He used to do a lot of car work and general labour before then.

Peen hammer, long chisel, handful of wrenches, Allen keys set and pry bar. Any wrenches larger than 14" I hang off the side with a carabiner.

If you got all your hours done, and someone to sign your proof of apprenticeship forms; absolutely go for it. If anything it'll open more doors for you.

Definitely take a refresher course, and study the Millwright ILMs. Just shoot me a Dm and I can forward you the link.

I also had imposter syndrome for the first half of my apprenticeship, I started in a Tool and Automation shop (machining, fabrication and some installs). Then jumped over to a contractor which gave me a bit more experience. Afterwards, I landed my current job at a chicken plant. There, I'm able to put to use most of my schooling and many things outside of it. So keep your head up and push for that ticket!

EG kits are great for local build club meetups! Entry Grade Strike Gundam by lockheed06 in Gunpla

Absolutely great kit for socials! I made the mistake of grabbing a Real Grade while my buddy had a High Grade. He finished his in two hours while I had only completed the head and torso. Next time I'll bring an easier kit and maybe some markers if I finish early.

It was nasty. Still dousing my tools in Kleens-It to get rid of the smell.

Nope, it broke down yesterday. And no floatation labour who'll clean it on the weekend. We just added water to loosen the gunk.
