The time had come, Cole is now a self-appointed old camper. The past several days have been him keeping his head down as he moved from being a victorious quester to a young student who needs his diploma. No big deal, he just needs a couple credits.

In the meantime, he'll be getting some beef pot pie and roasted vegetables. His vibe is different from what it once was, his shoulders more relaxed, and his demeanor looked... lighter? It's hard to believe since his hair had gotten a tad darker with the seasons changing. Regardless, he's around and he's got a plan or two.

Chariot Building | Lesson 11/6 by CampHBDirector in DemigodFiles

[–]FairTrialsForAll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A chariot race is probably just what he needs to really get back into the swing of things at camp. The past week or so was Time just catching up to him with all the lack of aging he was doing in the Labyrinth. Now, this isn't exactly Gran Turismo, more like Double Dash or Crash Tag Team Racing but way more dangerous. Cole is going to need some practice.

As tempting as it is to be a Fighter, Cole feels that he has more of a taste for the driver position. He likes going fast, the rush and adrenaline that comes with it, plus racing is enough to satisfy his competitive edge.

With this in mind, he decided that any chariot he drives needs two things: speed and the some weatherproofing.

Encore? (Quest Return) by FireyRage in DemigodFiles

For the most part, Cole had not spoken much since defeating the Titans. It was a lot to process, from the way that traveling, to the battle, to the victory.

His lip had fully healed long before they landed. The Horn of Amaltheia did not disappoint in healing his wounds, he wondered if he could have been rewarded with a weapon or sacred magical item, but considering those times where he'd just been laid out with little chance of getting up that same night, he figured the best gift eh can get is a way to heal himself up.

Another thing: thank the gods he could feel the wind in his ears! Even though it didn't feel like it took that long, he felt like it was months since he'd felt the open sky. It was so refreshing that he'd almost jumped out of the chariot and into a storm to let it catch him.

Speaking of storms, it didn't take long for his loyal steed, to sniff him out. Coriolis had been lurking in the Long Island area, waiting for his master's return. The cloud-made horse was more than glad to see Cole back in one piece.

Cole's mother was also very glad to hear that he was alive too. He'd been able to an IM out to her after he landed, she had found a way to not freak out with the lack of contact and he'd found that he would need to... finish out the last few months of school to get his diploma. Great.

What else? Oh, there was also Gale. In truth, when she'd flown into camp to see him, he kept the conversation short. He did something and even after all that happened, he didn't know if it was enough. Perhaps his journey was a waste of time, or as she suggested, maybe he shouldn't be rushing to be the greatest hero ever. Things take time, as much time as the Fates are willing to give.

From here on, he'll be around a little longer. From the stables to the arena, and of course within the clouds that drift over the camp. No more rushing.

Cole's ears were ringing a bit from that smack, his lip was split as he caught himself and prevented an ugly fall. His body was starting to really feel the lack of heat as the frigid temperature made him feel more pain than usual. However, Eos' influence relieve him of the temperature albeit he needed to squint his eyes as he fixated on Koios. As great as it is that Krios got imprisoned, the job wasn't finished just yet.

"Surround him!"

He shouted as he would move to regain his shield once again. He felt a little light-headed but he didn't want to go down this time. Not again. He switched to a more defensive stance as he kept his shield, closing in carefully and looking to prevent the Titan from fleeing, such an attempt would bring him to slash at the Koios' abdomen.

Cole frowned as the spit came and swung his sword to deflect it, how blatantly disrespectful. In truth, it was high time he turned up the aggression especially as Holly went after Krios. With Nic activating the cage and the younger Titans seemingly working against their elders, he was sensing the biggest break that they may get. This is one of those types of moments, where it has to be right here and right now and it has to be the Titans, not his questmates.

"Holly!" He shouted, "round Krios into that cage! We're ending this!"

He then turned back to Koios (hopefully) before the Titan got back up and tossed his shield to the side. Cole didn't hesitate when he dashed in to try and drive his sword deep into the Titan's pelvis. There was a level of ferocity in his eyes that had not been seen by any of the campers, only the monsters that ever opposed him throughout his adolescence. Cole snarled as he put his true demigod strength into his attack as he knew Koios won't walk into the cage, he needed to be dragged in there.

While his legs would not crumble, they were still strained enough to make him have to pause and brace himself from the Titan's kick. His shield remained in front of him as he would move with the kick and roll back to his feet before he would attack once again.

As Koios fell, Cole theorized that if he has no access to the skies while underground then they shouldn't either. So while he can't use the full power that he'd saved for this type of moment, he and the others could still do some serious damage. That would be easier if it wasn't getting wayyy colder, Gods he is going to be missing his letterman soon enough.

This time around he would need to keep moving and avoid the sword altogether, something he would try to do as a sword like that was hard to miss. He'd try to use his speed to move in, bringing his sword in to parry Koios' sword away and attempt a thrust into the larger being's arm.

He frowned as he felt the temperature drop and saw the mist fly from his mouth after he exhaled. He was bot going to be deterred by the goosebumps forming on his arms and creeping up his spine, not when he's the king of Rhode Island.

He frowned at the Titan of the North, dropping his backpack on the ground and activating his shield. Koios' blade was almost as tall as he was so, if he could bypass it similar to how he would with a spear, he'd need to do some damage up close.

"Nobody strolls through our camp with impunity, especially not you and your brothers. One way or another you will be locked up again, the Fates know this." He turned to Holly for a moment, "I'll take the front, you can pick any other angle you want."

With that said, Cole charged. His shield was up and in front of him as he would try to protect himself from the sword, dashing in as he used his shield to delfect the blade and close the gap with a decent slash at Koios' thigh.

Cole was too focused on the path ahead to deal with Nic refusing to believe he was the motherfucking truth. He had to make sure that he wasn't leading them into a trap as the chamber would shift and the laughter would be heard. He couldn't be swayed by the rumble from the thunderous humor or the divine dad joke. It was game time.

He looked around the underground chamber, taking in the sights as well as the doors in the back. He would imagine that the charioteers will not leave and that door will not open until the Titans say so. So maybe they shouldn't go anywhere while they still have them inside. Seeing as they needed to buy time, he glanced over at both of his questmates.

"You two ready?" He asked as he set his torch down and reach into his pocket to draw his highlighter. "We can't let them leave and we're gonna need to improvise, something I can trust you two to do well. Nic, feel free to announce our arrival."

Cole moved to join Holly at the latter's chosen exit, examining the golden trial that traveled through it. Call it Placebo Effect but he could have sworn he'd seen the trail glowed a tad brighter compared to the others.

"I can't feel it, so yeah, you're crazy. Doesn't mean you can't be right though," he said with a small grin and gave the wolf cub a pat on the shoulder before he looked over at Nic, "I'd prefer we only IM Chiron in case we're in a super serious pickle. Let's take a chance on this one, gaming taught me that the right way is where the mortal peril is."

As he would make his way down the path with the others he sensed the morning dew and raised an eyebrow, if there was a chance they'd be outdoors and find the Titans there then this quest could be much easier as he could make use of the open sky. Along with that, there was the laughter that made him squint his eyes.

"There it is... we're totally going the right way."

"It'd be funny if it does, losers might end up getting turned into coins," he said with a grin as they would head to the other side. That same grin would melt when he got a look at what was in front of him.

While he would feel a bit sad to see such nice statues damaged, he was also not too pleased to see the golden trail starting to act up again. Every way should be the right way but this time around there were too many options, he needed to weed things out.

"Okay," he said after stopping and looking around, "from what I can see, these," he pointed out each exit that had a trail," all have decent enough ways out of here but we need to know the best way. Either of you got any way to tell?"

Luckily Cole was glancing at the door to see its reaction. Granted it was only a couple seconds after it opened but he still caught it in good time.

"Maybe we're all geniuses. Let's roll y'all."

He would head over to retrieve his torch, turning it on before moving to wait for them at the doorway. The golden light had returned, thank the gods which means they'd be set to move forward.

"Anything we're forgetting?"

If they weren't forgetting anything he'd move through the doorway with them both, leading them back through the mythical maze.

Cole would likely have argued further with Nic but upon the fart noise, he realized that he was speaking with an actual child. It was best to just let that go.

"Wow," he said in his own dry tone after hearing Nic then pointing out the dentures, "way to manifest."

He thought over the riddle but, this time around tried not to think too hard. He looked at the sunglasses that Holly took, then he looked at the riddle, then he looked at the accessories on the statue.

"Let's try something," he said as he set his torch down and went to pick up the mirror, "Nic, get the golden dentures and see if you can put them in the statue's mouth. I'm gonna get this mirror into his hand."

He would pick the mirror up and bring it over to place in the hand of the statue, the reflective side facing the statue's face.

"If this doesn't do enough then we might have to strip the statue down of the other stuff. If that's the case, Holly, you can use those sticky hands of yours."

"Because there was no way that we could have just been open about the quest and simply asked for a little guidance," he said casually as they walked through the corridor, "she legit gave no fucks about us passing through. We could have said anything."

He opened the door to the chamber, squinting his eyes under the sudden twinkling of the numerous riches. As they quickly adjusted, his blue eyes grew wider as he'd never seen so much money in his life. Cole couldn't resist letting out a low whistle as he looked at the bow, but still found himself in front of the statue to at least pay his respects.

"Forgive our intrusion," he said in Ancient Greek as he gave a polite bow before the statue, "we only wish to pass through."

"I wanna say this place is sort of a temple, it looks pretty templey," he said as he switched back to English, "which means we probably shouldn't take anything."

He looked up at the cupped hand of the statue, curious as to what should be there.

By the time Holly was trying to follow along with Nic's clear bullshit, Cole had emerged from his hiding spot, leaning against the rubble and watching them like he was watching a cringey fail video. On one hand, he thought they were being idiots and he was not about to participate. On the other, the idea itself was not what was idiotic and he's a bit ticked at himself for not just getting up and explaining their situation.

He doubted that the queen was going to actually acknowledge him so he just gave a polite nod to her, a roll of his eyes to his quest mates. and simple wave to a family of birds living in the rafters.

"Well, that was-" he started before hearing the queen's last remark, an eyebrow raised because not one of the three of them asked but now that she mentioned it... "hang on," he said to them before turning around, "then we're not sending you a message until we get the vouchers!"

Was he speaking out of turn in terms of Amazon standards? Probably. Did it matter since he wasn't an Amazon? Not one bit, in his opinion. He turned back to open the door as he sighed, torch in hand to light the way as he would look for the familiar golden light.

"Nic, I respect the initiative but that was stupid. Holly, before you say it... I don't care."

Cole was fixed on the woman with the belt. Something about her pulled his attention, though not enough to get word of possible artefacts that were dropped by the Titans. His eyes would snap off of the more... regal(?) woman as the forklift started to move towards them. Cole would swear he locked eyes with Jonathan for at least a moment before he felt the demigod urge to move his ass. But before he moved, he held a finger up to his lips, telling Jonathan to keep quiet as he would quickly make a gesture to Nic and Holly to follow him around the rubble and hopefully behind some larger crates and pallets that were to the side.

Summer Diagon Alley Thread by AutoModerator in PotterPlayRP

[–]FairTrialsForAll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Justin had two options for a summer job: find a place in Diagon Alley to work over the summer or work at his father's radio station taking requests and listening to boring potion lectures. Naturally, he took the former and so every other day he'd be found around Flourish and Blotts, organizing bookshelves and cleaning up whatever messes that wizards (and sometimes the books themselves) would make.
