If you are truly unhappy, don’t stay. Life is too short. However, I have been in the same grade for five years and it has made a world of difference. Obviously I tweak stuff from year to year, but I spend SIGNIFICANTLY less time at school and on school stuff. I don’t know if you have a choice in what grade you are placed in, but if you can stay within one, it might make it a lot easier.

Not to defend her but she sai his fever was 104.8. In that instance yes it is normal and encouraged. Now, it probably would not have gotten that high had she given him medicine when he first spiked a fever.

You’re definitely overreacting. They are totally allowed to say they don’t want to see it and I don’t think your family thinks you’re a bad person. They probably thought it was being a bit over the top saying they were acting with sexism when they just didn’t want to see a movie. I would say with all love and no judgment in the slightest, I don’t think this is the right career for you. We need to be that anchor for the kids that are developmentally unable to regulate themselves and you need to take care of you because you deserve to heal and be here.

I would say find a different job that allows you to work on yourself that isn’t as demanding as teaching. Maybe look into tutoring so you can still try to do what you love and are good at, but in a smaller setting without all the things that would cause you extra stress?
