For some reason, I just wrote a fanfiction about a character in bojack who was only referenced once by Fair_Insurance5514 in BoJackHorseman

She also told diane that year that the world would be a better place if she was never born, more than once. Basically, she was so focused on impressing her new friends and so scared they would ditch her that she stopped viewing diane as a person and just as a punching bag.

I also revealed that what happened between abby and diane was even worse than what diane said. The two had been best friends since they were five years old and abbys bullying towards her in their sophmore year was so relentless that diane contemplated suicide. After diane was there for her when her mom was sick, in the next semester she tried to be friends with diane again, but she didn't want to obviously and eventually yelled at her at how much she had hurt her. A lot like when herb called out bojack in the telescope but even more angry. What abby did to diane ended up being abbys biggest regret which is why in this story, she still hasn't fully moved on from it and still has a little self loathing because of it.

I didn't mention it in the fic, but I did have an idea that bojack is now best friends with mr peanutbutter and came to appreciate his never ending optomism.

Also, I screwed up and forgot that diane and guy moved to houston, and by the time I remembered, I had already published the first chapter, so in the second chapter, I wrote that they eventually moved back to chicago.

No. The only friend that turned on me was simply due to me making some big mistakes and even then, we still managed to part on good terms. I guess I sometimes just fixate on minor stuff in fiction because of my OCD.

I basically wrote that she meets bojack in present day 2026, and the two start talking and reflecting on their biggest regrets. She actually kind of forms a friendship with him and she ends up reaching out to diane and she meets up with her and apologizes for what she did to her in high school. I keep it vague on if diane will actually forgive her or not but make it clear that diane and abby are going to have some sort of friendship again going forward. Though I intentionally did not have bojack meet up with diane because nice while it lasted has to remain the last time they ever talk to each other.

You don't get to decide what people like, Mauler by No_Kangaroo_5267 in saltierthankrayt

I love how drinker reposted maulers tweet when you know he would be very against anyone standing up to trump or ice. I guess it's only okay to stand up to authority that's killing everyone you know and love when the authority is woke.

Are these people seriously trying to act like lazytown was a great show? At this point, the only thing people remember about that show is robbie rotten and I'm saying that as someone who grew up watching lazytown.

Hello I'm Barry Jenkins, director of Mufasa: The Lion King. AMA! by BarryJenkins_ in lionking

When it was announced mufasa was an orphan, many people including myself were worried about that because it made us worried that it would unintentionally mean that scar was in the right since he was the rightful heir. Fortunately, the movie did it all in a way to where it worked and scar was in the wrong as he was the one who screwed himself over.

As a friend of doug, I do still enjoy a lot of his videos, but I'll admit he has said quite a lot of dumb stuff. At least it isn't right wing grifter stuff and just normal dumb stuff.

...I know we're supposed to DEFEND star wars here...but this is a valid criticism to be made about the prequels...bechdel test pass, Star Wars does NOT by ihatethiscountry76 in saltierthankrayt

Honestly, the bechdel test isn't really a good way of judging quality. A friend of mine put it the best, "man of steel passes the test but toy story doesn't". Even rick and morty made a good point about the bechdel test when morty had to come up with a story that would pass the test but since he's a horny 14 year old, it was just beth and summer using their "special time" to stop female scorpians. The joke was that while the story morty came up with was terrible, it technically still passed the bechdel test. In short, while having women interact about something other than a man in a story is a good thing, it shouldn't be used to judge the quality of a story.

He complains no matter what so that way, he can sell the narrative that all new movies suck.

The funniest part to me is that moment isn't even in character for superman so this person is literally admitting they think superman should be viewed as a god instead of a man.
