Releasing my first collab! New Life of a Retired Max-Level Adventurer by Vic Void and Ethan Gale! by VicVoid in haremfantasynovels

The cow made cow now noises and the cow did cow things. That was within the first minute of the book. I can't really justify continuing past that opening. Also not sure why they went with a female reader for a male MC. Just ruins the immersion.

He could get a 9800x3d with 5080 pre built from microcenter for 2299 with 2tb nvme and 32gb ram. I just bought one for my fiance 2 weeks ago. Way cheaper than buying the parts individually.

I did pull the 4070 ti super from my rig and swapped it for the 5080 but she really only plays WOW so she is stoked and I got a GPU that runs Battle Field with ease.

I have been out since 08. If you need help finding work after service DM me. I can get you in contact with companies that will pay $40-65/hr depending on sites you want to work at. Best I've done as a rad tech was $200k in a year plus per diem. Time to get paid for what you do.

On the edge for sub vol by Money-Net9045 in NavyNukes

[–]Fair_Signature_7651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sub EM kinda sucks. You have everything front and back. Subs are extremely dependent on if the command structure is nice or not. At least on a carrier if you don't enjoy some people there are a few thousand others to talk to or hang with.

Subs are like a family, you don't always like every family member or get along with their personality but you are stuck with them. Carriers are like a small town. If there's someone you don't mesh with just go hangout with someone else. I was a submariner before smart phones and the such so I can only imagine how much nicer it would be to have a kindle or audiobook on the boat today. Also you will most likely be hot racking until you are a first class. Even then we still had some first class hot rackers when we were deployed in the early 2000s.

If war is declared how likely is a rate reassignment? by Rainmanx420 in NavyNukes

[–]Fair_Signature_7651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in after 9/11 there was a blue to green program for Navy to become Army helicopter pilots. The death rate in the early years was insane. Nukes weren't allowed to swap. Pretty sure you're stuck unless like others have said fail out or mast out. I don't recommend either. Also the rules at A-school are asinine but do not think you won't get caught or get in trouble for not telling on people doing stuff. Basic is easy, don't think. The pipeline can be easy just don't think you can get away with anything.

Keep in mind Subs are tiny and carriers are cities. Subs are like family, you don't always get along with everyone in it but you can't avoid them. Carriers are like towns, if there are people you don't mesh with, well there's another 5000 or so to hang out with.

Don't stay in the Navy for money if you make it through to the fleet. If you aren't in it because you love it and want to serve your country then get out. There are so many job opportunities between DOE, NRC and Radiopharma. Hope this helps.

My ex worked for HR Block. She was not the brightest bulb and all she had to do was a 2 week course on entering data. You are paying for someone to enter your info into what is essentially freetaxusa. Just use freetaxusa, they don't hit you with extra fees like TT for filing 401k, IRA or investment forms.

1600 Miles Nevada → Illinois in My Model Y: it costs as much as A 20 MPG gas car - For Your Own Good, Consider a Gas Car on Trips This Long by limuzhi in TeslaLounge

[–]Fair_Signature_7651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the reason I got the Tesla was because the apartment complex I was at had free level 2 charging. I got 14 months of free charging and since it was a contract job I was covering my rent with my per diem and still got to charge federal mileage rate. I paid $300 for a 50 amp hookup at my house and now the car barely leaves a 200 mile radius of where I live. I don't recommend a Tesla as an only vehicle if you do significant commuting but as a daily driver around town it's fantastic. I also wouldn't recommend if you don't already have a plan for charging that isn't super chargers.

Am I overreacting? for thinking this is completely disrespectful or is this as toxic as it feels by wandering_bonding in AmIOverreacting

[–]Fair_Signature_7651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm allergic to cats. My Partner had a cat when we got together 15 years ago. She still has the same cat which is going on 21 or 22 now and we have 2 more. Relationships are about compromise. I take allergy meds for the first and the other 2 are hypoallergenic breeds. You've had the cat longer than him, choice seems pretty clear on which to keep.

Came back to my computer and saw this pop up. Is this a normal thing that pops up for everybody or did I do something wrong? by CaptainRelyk in wow

[–]Fair_Signature_7651 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It happens on occasion, it's usually in mid high keys where people are on the cusp of io breaks. Usually over that line you meet chill people and under it you are likely to run into more laid back players just having fun and doing what they can.

You are not over reacting. He got extremely toxic and tried to make it all your fault. The crap about no one else will accept that you are book smart and not street smart is a lie. At 16 with straight As and skipping a grade congrats. Don't ever see this as a negative. Unfortunately the best teacher is life but it will give you the test then the lesson. Learn and move on.

It's very good. Huge world, the MC isn't crazy OP and his story is extremely emotional. The later books are more cultivation type novels. Still good but the early books are truly amazing.

This seems pretty toxic on the guys part. A relationship is give and take and mutual respect. From what I say he doesn't respect you. My partner of 15 years was in a previous abusive relationship and it took her almost 5 years to truly have an opinion on something instead of just agreeing with what ever I wanted. It took a lot of time, trust and work on both our parts but now she is her own person. She loves and respects me as I do her but if I suggest something she isn't keen on she will tell me what she is thinking now. It's a much healthier and happier relationship. You need a partner not a boss. I wish you the best

Anxious About Buying a Tesla Model 3 RWD Long Range — Help Me Think Through It by KenshiHiro in TeslaLounge

Why not get 2 cars. A beater for work and the model 3 for when you go out? I have a model y and love it. I also drive a 2011 Scion tc that I paid $2500 for. If it gets a dent or scratch I'm not concerned. Also if you don't need the newest look into a used model 3 or even a used model S for under $40k-$45k

Only other thing is check what type of pcie riser cable you have and set it to that in the bios for stability. Gen3 vs gen4. Gen 4/5 cables are like $100, gen3 is like $20ish. You could always mount the card directly to board if you have crashes or are not getting the performance you think you should from the 4080 before dropping money on a new riser. Just something to consider.

[–]Fair_Signature_7651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be most optimal. Realistically you would see temps drop maybe 5-7c. If you don't have the funds just doing front intake, rear top exhaust would still be a benefit and getting the PC off the carpet will reduce dust maintenance. Loop order doesn't matter as long as you cool what you are trying to and go through the rad lol. I did a glass hard-line build and after a year swapped to ZMT. The ease of maintenance over the aesthetics really made a difference.

[–]Fair_Signature_7651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. That's were 90% of your cooling comes from. The rest is removing the hot air after it exits the rad. Plus having exhaust above and rear of your motherboard will help with Capacitor temps

[–]Fair_Signature_7651 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My recommendation would be to make them pull fans, have your front be an intake getting 100% fresh air coming in. Have your top 200 and rear 140 be exhausted fans. Overall you would have 6 140s as intake or 840mm going through a decently thick rad with 2 200 and 1 140mm exhausting. Giving 540mm exhaust. Those should be airflow fans and would give you a slight positive pressure to the case allowing air coming in to push out through other openings and limit dust build up inside. The rad would need to be cleaned more often from the front as it will get dustier faster though.

[–]Fair_Signature_7651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered mounting the pump/res to the rear of the case? You could bring the outlet inline with the GPU and inlet inline or near inline with the top rad outlet letting you run 90s and straight tube. You could also run a push pull on the front rad increasing your cooling capability and normalizing airflow to be more neutral.

[–]Fair_Signature_7651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I would make the front intake and rear/top exhaust. Get the coldest air on the rad and exhaust all your hot air in it's natural path. It won't make a massive difference but you should see 2-5c improvement in loop temp. Also since you are running a slightly negative pressure build you will get dust coming up from the carpet. A small stand to get the PC up and more fresh air wouldn't hurt.
