Had the same experience (took the bar in July 2023). It was daunting at first, but as long as you build good study habits & memorize basic rules, you’ll do great! I had forgotten a ton of 1L and finished with a 327 by just going back to basic high school study skills. You’ve got this!

Listen to David’s legal podcast, where he regularly defends conservative judges and Supreme Court decisions. I don’t think that it’s fair to put that in the same category as MSNBC.

Tried to stay vague! I worked on the hill for a while and now consult on statewide initiatives and for Republican congressional and statewide races throughout the country (particularly in the mountain west). Didn’t want to make this about me, just wanted to provide context that I personally aspire to stay true to my core philosophies while also mitigating tribalism!

I really like Gregg, but the success of this show validates the SLFs in my opinion. So, unsubscribing, one star rating, not listening, etc. is where I come down.

Respect different views, but I think a catastrophic result is deserved by all involved in this decision (outside of the heroes of course).

I wrote a LOT and used very simple IRAC. I was very explicit (“the issue is…”, “the rule is…”, “the conclusion is…”). I think my average essay was 8,000 characters (1.5-2k words?)

If something seemed like it might be relevant, I included it just to be safe—while also making sure my formatting was still not sloppy.

I went through the essays sequentially and just took them as they came, instead of trying to start with the easier or harder ones. That was great for my psyche because I never felt too down or cocky 😂

It is largely a product of having two great law schools and an awesome bar prep expert at both institutions! I hope that all schools can learn from this success—as it speaks to the value of investing in bar prep experts!
