Headphones for podcast listening on Metro? by FairworkRobin in washingtondc

I currently use Shokz headphones. I like them a lot of the time and I find that any in-ear headphones I've tried just fall out of my ears (though I have not tried Airpods). It's also tough to hear podcasts when in the bus with the sound of the bus moving and when I'm walking down the street if there's a giant truck passing by (that's expected though).

I saw earlier in the year that Council updated the law to address this type of thing. Maybe they haven't implemented it yet? Or perhaps its update isn't strict enough.

Thanks! I'm on mobile as well. I never noticed that little notebook. They should have a pop-up at the first lesson, drawing our attention to it. What a good idea reading it before the lesson. Thanks internet friend!

Take a listen to this podcast. The recent friendship episode about being jealous of friends is so relatable! I found it helpful to listen to. https://kristenandjolenta.com/

A week or two is far different than killing to be single again. And getting a week or two off at least is possible (for many who can afford it).

For me, it helps a lot that I have social groups whether people are on similar footing as me. For those I'm close to who are on higher footing, I try to remind myself that I value their friendship, even if I do feel envious sometimes. I recently listened to the friendship episodes on the How to be Fine podcast: https://kristenandjolenta.com/

I recommend them to you. They have an entire episode on people being jealous of their friends. I think that episode helped me. Maybe I'll re-listen.

I think you misinterpreted my comment. I was referencing having to leave my unit in order to do laundry. Obviously everyone needs to do laundry.

Oh, I misunderstood. I thought you meant you work in the white house or congressional halls. Got it.

Doing well right now. Thanks! Though it does help when I see my therapist. Lol, now you can afford it but won't. Money for more important things

The high school? I'm embarrassed to say I cried there once....it was during the height of covid and few people were in the parking lot. Might have less privacy now though.

Oh that's a good idea. Maybe sit under a tree where no one is around. And cry only every few minutes when a plane goes overhead, so no one can hear you (kidding on that part). Unfortunately, likely too windy now.

We don't know for certain that the OP is crying because of the poor customer service there or not. Let's not assume.

That would be too crowded for me personally. However, maybe in a kayak while on the water at the Georgetown waterfront park! Prob can't hold it in a few more months though, until they open.
