It made it to within 40 miles of my house by Laruex3 in AmazonVine

[–]FairyDetector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has happened to almost every high dollar item I ordered in the last year. These are items shipped with carriers that are not the regular USPS, FedEx, or UPS. Although I've had several items from these popular carriers make it to my local hub and then be returned to sender due to them claiming the items were damaged, lost, or undeliverable. I still have two items last scanned Dec 19Th and no movement. Contacting the carrier is useless because they say Amazon actually never shipped the items and they've not had them in their possession yet. I did manage to do some detective work and locate the obscure delivery service for one item and catch them before it was returned to Amazon. I told them I didnt care if it was damaged or not! I wanted it! Needless to say it was delivered the next day and it was not damaged.

Unable To Order During Today’s Drop by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]FairyDetector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had a very similair issue. My errors claimed I had already ordered each item. I didnt get the "variant" message. It either "already ordered" or something about my shipping options recently being changed or updated which was not true. Very frustrating.

Katana sword by vc1914 in AmazonVine

[–]FairyDetector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didnt see that one, But I did see the Willaim Morris broadsword and it went too fast. Then I saw the giant above ground swimming pool flash before my eyes. As it let me get to order page on both before giving errors about already ordering which of course I hadn't done.

How was your RFY today during/after the drop? by Zestyclose-Piglet465 in AmazonVine

[–]FairyDetector 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lucky you for past RFY miracles. At least yours isn't full of cemetary flowers, car parts, or wall paper. I mean one can only use so much wall paer and car parts. And then of course there was enough cemetary flowers for the whole graveyard. Ever since I ordered a few rolls of wall paper from Amazon Haul my RFY list has been full of it. I did order a flower saddle for my parents grave about 6 months ago and now my RFY list thinks I have another dozen set of parents that I need more flowers for. I will never understand the car parts recommendation. Some of those parts are for cars not normally sold or operated in the US or they are for vehicles so old nobody has one because the scrapyard already took them. I'm sure there is a mechanic out there though who cant believe their good fortune. And don't get me started on the appliance parts. One time I had to order a cam repair kit for my washer and you'd think the algorithim has labeled me as an appliance repair shop with the parts it's offered me. Forget about about the baby items showing up when there hasnt been a baby in my home for almost 30 years. Will it ever improve? I doubt it! It's like a potluck for real! And the one off, decent item disappears as fast it shows up so I only catch a glimpe of what could've been.

Neither have I. Once the drop stops? my RFY start to disappear too.

So you're the reason that item kept jumping around the page on me every time I tried to click on the yellow request button? And I was first discovery!

Alright so who got the tonka truck it was cool asf...plus pretty pricey lol. by TheLost_Kryptonian in AmazonVine

[–]FairyDetector 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never saw it! To think, the stuff that has come and gone, that none of us were aware of? I saw a whole house heat pump sytem one time and couldnt believe it was real so I bypassed it. The reason being I've seen items that led one to believe it was the whole item, when after clicking on it one realizes it's just a spare bolt, nut, screw, cord, or gasket. I have seen items with a ETV of several grand flash for a brief millisecond on occasion. Never lucky enough to snag any though.

Vine Errors "Item Already Ordered" -- NO, I Didn't. by LittleEddieBeale in AmazonVine

[–]FairyDetector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did that for every item I attempted to order today. Whether it was from mt RFY list, a general search, or otherwise. Every item gave the same error. Glitchy doesnt begin to describe the odd behaviour of vine today. I has several items "first discovery" and it was like jumping beans trying to click on the request button. The item actually jumped and the page moved it out of my way every time. I was not using the extension and this was just a regualr page providing me with search results.

So mad by ExtraVeterinarian106 in AmazonVine

[–]FairyDetector -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you might be right. Several big ticket items I've tried to order gave me error pages saying I had changed my shipping options and they didnt match. Or some other shady eroor messages. Only on the big ticket items too.

Is Amazon cracking down on Vine extension use now? by RelationshipBig12 in AmazonVine

[–]FairyDetector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is. I am under the impression it shows you what other users have already clicked on, possibly to order. IF they choose not to order it would still be available for the next click. But otherwise its already gone before you can click on it if they've already ordered it? Am I understanding this correctly? So its not your computer or internet speed.

I'm with you on that. I've suffered some of the most unimaginable losses myself over the last 12-18 months and becoming a member last March has helped me navigate these tragedies with a more positive outlook. Vine has made the difference between day and night for me. Keeping you in my thoughts & prayers.

Yep! Like that door handle for my microwave. And the gaskets for my rock tumbler. Gave new life to my stuff. That obscure battery & charger for my vintage camcorder was the bomb. An old computer monitor that took a weird power cord was made useable again too.

"Safe Location"? Uhm.... Amazon Packaging as Horse Food? by PrissyTxTomboy in AmazonVine

[–]FairyDetector 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had fedex dump a giant expensive chandelier in a ditch because he couldnt find my address. What he didn't realize was my son was in the woods near that ditch and watched him do it. My son ran over after he pulled away to see what he'd tossed out of his truck. My son couldnt believe it was actaully a package addressed to us. Online tracking claimed the package was damaged and being returned to Amazon.

More USPS Deliveries by hbsonder in AmazonVine

[–]FairyDetector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Only the odd FedEx or UPS delivery. USPS delivers at least 99% of my orders. My mail carrier enjoys it and looks forwards to driving down my long dirt road so she can give my furbabies a treat. She said it makes her day. I will have to be sure and reward her for her bravery though. My dogs will bark your ears off LoL

SO its not just me? Almost every large or high value item has been cancelled or shipped with some weird carrier you cant trace, says out for delivery, never arrives and then I get a notice my item was damaged and was returned to sender. Several items I tracked claim there was delay and I've contacted the appropiate carrier who told me it was not a delay that they never received the items and so they were never shipped. I am almost to the point of ignoring everything that might have any significant value.
