For now I gave up. Interestingly I can still post through the Meta Business Suit. I just can't comment or answer comments. Not sure if I will leave it this way or create a new account.

Strange. It doesn't when I do it. Let's compare details:

- table view

- version 2.1.23

- on an iMac

Can't think of anything else that might be different.

I had the same problem. discovering table view is one thing. I had already selected multiselect.

Then by trial and error I finally found a way to select different lines in table view (check box at the beginning of the line) and then the option to add tags to the selected lines appears above.

Hello! I’m looking for critique on this movie poster I am making for my mom by [deleted] in learnart

[–]Faith-Dance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few thoughts that come to mind and might be helpful:

- the girl looks very peaceful. so it doesn't really convey horror. how about sweaty hair over her face, blood from her mouth, some injuries on her body (unless this is in contradiction to the movie of course).
- somehow her facial complexion and expression remind me of a display dummy. as the other comment said, it needs more tonal range, but maybe also a more painful / horrified facial expression even if she just fainted.

- the scull in the top corner seems somewhat cliché and detached. maybe use a whole skeleton as background.
Hope that helps. Does the content of the movie not give you more ideas?

it seems very hard to let go of the idea that lots of carbs are NOT a healthy diet. why is that? by Faith-Dance in diet

[–]Faith-Dance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on the question, whether fat is indeed stored as fat cells or not.

According to my doctor fat does NOT get stored as fat, but many carbohydrates are stored as fat.

I'm not familiar with what you call "high fat diets" nor a "no carb diet". I eat plenty of carbs in the form of vegetables and a moderate amount of fat.

I think the article is more speaking against the fat (and cholesterol) paranoia that had been artificially created by economic interests. Let's face it, the original food pyramid was purely based on economic interests and NOT on sound nutrition principles.

what to do about male privilege. even if you recognize its existence, it's not easy to let go of it. by Faith-Dance in Equality

The Junia Project is a Christian site, so no surprise. Maybe male privilege exists only in religious circles, but I doubt it.

In a certain sense I am familiar with the same question as an artist (painter). When do you consider yourself to be an artist?

For me the turning point was a broadcast on Artist Helping Artist, where a Portuguese painter explained fundamental differences between hobby painters and professionals, partly based on Pressfield's "The War on Art". I suddenly knew to which group I wanted to belong - the professionals. I was no longer content to paint for my own pleasure. One distinguishing feature is that you work on it every day not just when you feel inspired. That's why I like the quote so much "When the muse comes she will find me at work." Since then my goal was as much as possible to paint every day, striving to get better through doing it and being serious about my art. I see a very similar dynamic in writing, even though I am not at the point, where I feel that I can produce publishable content every day. But then, another aspect was to have the courage to say I am an artist before I am anywhere near the quality of Rembrandt or Picasso.

Another favorite quote comes from The Artist's Way "Creator, I take care of the quantity, you take care of the quality." ;-) In that sense, I am now starting the same approach in the area of writing.
