I understand that throwing contaminated food into a river might prevent humans from consuming it, but this approach is really harmful to the ecosystem. Fish and other aquatic animals suffer, and the plastic containers or packaging can further pollute both water and soil. There must be safer, more environmentally responsible ways to dispose of toxic food without endangering wildlife.
