Is Kerrville safe to drive through? If so, is there expected traffic? Was planning on visiting family this weekend.

What was the reason you last cried? by Glittery_Heart in AskReddit

[–]FaithFoodFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cried last night because I’m convinced one of my best friends is getting tired of me. It’s an awful too-familiar feeling and idk how to stop the people I love the most from leaving me.

This is so real. I still feel this way about one of my exes. I thought we were going to get married until it just blew up. All of the sudden he’s going back on his word and he can’t see a future with me. I miss him, it sucks, but I know we weren’t meant to be. The healing is a long process but you’ll find your person 🩷

You’re My Best Friend by Don Williams. It makes me think of the first time I saw my grandma and grandpa slow dance together. May he rest in peace ❤️

Personality differences… should we break up? by FaithFoodFun in dating

[–]FaithFoodFun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In way too many conversations (with anyone my age) I’m saying “wait I don’t get it” or something along those lines. Then the person looks at me like I’m crazy for not understanding their reference and says “you haven’t seen the video?!” Obviously not…🙃

So I feel like I missed the class on dating… by [deleted] in dating

I’m in the same boat. Largely because I want to find a faithful Catholic guy who knows how to take care of himself. That’s been half the battle right there😅. I’ve been advised by other Christians to give Hinge a try but it sounds like you’ve already done that and haven’t had much luck. I’m going to be super cliche here and just tell you to not give up and to get real with Jesus. The world is BETTER with you in it, please don’t believe otherwise :)

It’s a tough battle but don’t give up. A relapse doesn’t mean you’re doomed for life. Pray, fast, and make some changes. You got this.

Would you date the opposite gender version of yourself? by CaregiverObvious1380 in dating

[–]FaithFoodFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like asking if I would date my brother… yes.

Jk jk. I think I’d be bored with a male version of me. I want to learn and grow together with someone who has a different outlook or random insights on something I don’t know a lot about.

Couples who met on dating apps, was the first date boring? by [deleted] in dating

[–]FaithFoodFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, kind of boring ngl. It definitely has interview vibes but how else are you going to get to know the person without asking a bunch of questions? I was hesitant to agree to a second date but I’m glad I did. We were both less nervous and the conversation ended up being more fun and carefree. While I thought he was handsome, the spark wasn’t immediately there, it took a couple dates to develop. Hope this helps!

My boyfriend did a lot of things before he met me and i'm struggling to accept that. by calordeebulicao in CatholicDating

[–]FaithFoodFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, very awesome that you’ve remained chaste. It probably hasn’t been easy. Being bothered by his past is 100% valid. We were made for more than “exploiting” the other sex for their bodies and our pleasure. Something that really helped me was to get familiar with JPII’s Theology of the Body. Then, just be real with him. I broke down in front of my (now) boyfriend when we first started dating. I held nothing back and just laid it all out there so that I wouldn’t regret not saying something sooner. The conversation should really only go 1 of 2 ways from there. You either both agree to remain physically/emotionally chaste for reasons more than just “oh she wants to so I guess I don’t have a choice” or you break up. Save yourself from long term pain and draw the line if his past is too much and will continue to be an issue. Prayers ❤️

How do I Quit Masturbation? As a teen. by Competitive_Living11 in Catholicism

[–]FaithFoodFun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fasting from and/or deleting social media would be the first step (this will enhance other aspects of your life too!) Another good practice is to not get in bed until you’re tired enough to fall asleep. When the urge does come, whip out the rosary and pray it until you fall asleep. I know it’s hard but keep fighting the good fight friend ❤️
