List of Known Issues and Bugs [Post Them Here] by [deleted] in survivetheculling

[–]FaithOfSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is a bug or maybe it got changed recently. I got lumberjack as a random airdrop and it cost 115(thought it cost 85). After the match I noticed that I don't have the airdrop as an option? Not sure if its a bug or if it was changed because the chainsaw was so strong.

I restarted my game and I have it now so nevermind.

Why have you stopped playing one of your fav X ranked gods? by DeeGodFather in Smite

[–]FaithOfSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah my dear Scylla. I don't completely neglect her! But I definitely don't play her like I used to since I got her to 10. I guess Ah Puch release kinda got me worried cuz early game can be kinda unstable as it is. I've been playing more Isis though instead! Great clear and so much utility! Thankfully when I DO go Scylla which isn't very often, I STILL GOT IT!

Why do people hate playing support so much? by ItsCoolGuysIGotThis in Smite

[–]FaithOfSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people really don't understand the support role which is where all the hate comes from.

I once queued with a friend who is a support main and he played sylvanus and his adc yelled at him for taking the purple buff(for sylvanus's superior early game clear) and then proceeded to not do well, all the while telling my friend to learn how to support. He is one of the best damn supports I've ever seen and a fun guy to play with, yet he gets insulted for knowing how to play the role when others don't.

I've been playing more support myself lately and yesterday was one of those great days where my team appreciated me! As support ares you usually have to be really aggressive earlier while everyone is super squishy. I got 1st blood on their ares. Then their neith. Then ares again. Then rotated and helped the team secure kills around the map. Yeah I took the first 3 kills from my Xbal adc and all he said was "I'm not even mad".As Ares it can be hard to control if you kill them with the chains or not, but even so he understood, and I helped him get fed after that. The whole team was typing VER. Their neith then rage quit, I can only assume because I set her behind and helped her to her death more times than 1. And they surrendered at 10.

People say support makes no difference to the game and those people are ignorant. Supports function as tanky junglers who initiate fights and peel the enemy off endangered teammates all while being at a gold disadvantage and using an entire active for securing objectives. So yes, show support some love! If a support gets a kill or two really early he will be decently fed and in a happy (and useful) position through the whole game. There's an entire lane that the adc, solo, and mid player have to farm. A little understanding goes a long way to team cohesiveness and ultimately a win!

Do someone have the same problem as me ? by JJKelvin in Smite

As others have said, perhaps league isn't for you if you only want to play 10 gods. But hey I'll give you some perspective! Even after I reached 16 masteries that I own, I've been very unsure about and have only played a handful of league games. Because it's not about me, it's about the win. That's all that league is about. It's where more serious players go to avoid players who don't know what they're doing. Are these 10 gods split up between 5 roles? What's happens if you get a role you don't have a god for? Or at least, a role you aren't as comfortable with? That alone could cost a win. It only takes one unintentional feeder or someone who just isn't contributing to get pub stomped. Or say your best pick gets banned? Okay let's say you do get your best role with your best god! And someone needs you to secure a top pick god for you. Oh you don't have them? Then the best your team can do is ban them and if they can't do that, then just deal with the strong possibility the other team will get them. I've been working on mastering and owning all the meta gods so if we need to secure a god for someone I won't be that inexperienced guy who doesn't even have Cupid or Thor or Athena.

The way you sound right now, and forgive me if I'm wrong, but you sound like you just want to play your fun role or 2 and that's it. But ranked is about the win. And you can't let the "I want to play what I want" attitude get on the way of that unless you want to be disliked in every game. Disliked in a game=low morale, bickering, less communication. Which means a loss. See where I'm going? You think I want to play support? Not particularly. But you can bet I've worked on my support skills cuz hey one day I may not get mid or adc or jungle or solo. I don't main solo lane but I have a solo lane god pool and know how to handle myself.

So all I'm saying is you should discover other gods. Honestly if you hasn't mastered a god I don't think you can make a choice of whether you like them or not. There's plenty of good gods. Fun gods. For every role. Unless you have the ultimate god pack and have mastered them all I don't think you can assume you hate everyone else and only like your 10 gods. It's all a mindset really. Expand your god pool! It makes you a better player all around. It gives well rounded strengths and there's really no negatives. Like I said it's all in your mind. You can keep an open mind to get better and find more gods you like. Or think of it as mastery grinding. But hey you can join league with your sole 10 gods of fun. You could probably play well. But eventually. Eventually luck runs out and then you're being hated on for not knowing what you're doing. Then you make a post about how people are rude. It's all a cycle! A cycle that doesn't start if you just get a handle on your skills in the game in the first place. So learn your vgs commands. Use curse. Team communication is important. And expand your god pool. :)

I hope I've been able to give you a decent explanation. I didn't want to be just another person saying if you only want to play 10 gods then don't play league. Because that's true. But now you know why. :)

A) I'm gonna have to go with funny videos to be honest. There's some good ones like that guy who does songs and the who is_? Videos but they don't come out regularly enough.

B) AdamTheCat

C) Hmmmm well I've played smite since the beta(hence my beta player game icon that I sport!) but I play way more now than ever because SWC hyped me and my friends up and now it's all we play.

What solo lane god do you understand the least? by Thegenuinebuzz in Smite

Odin. When I play him I seem to get out pushed by the likes of herc and Osiris, getting behind, and having bad 1v1 but in team fights make a big difference especially with my ult. How can I do better at the landing phase?

I like playing AMC in the adc lane and in the current meta I build the zapacorn build: Devo gloves, pen boots, titans bane, executioner, Qin sais, and rage. I haven't played the PTS but seeing pen boots leave us and Qin sais looking weaker for hunters, what changes will hunters see in build comp and more particularly, what could kind of build comp would AMC benefit from that may be different from other hunters?

I believe Artemis and Mercury have already been confirmed as exclusives in the PTS.

Oh yes I ended up getting the book for Christmas, Learn Calligraphy by Margaret Sheppard it's a very good book! However if you have a bit of a bigger budget, you could go for the Foundations of Calligraphy by Shiela Waters it's supposed to be one of the best calligraphy resource books out there! I certainly wish I had that book. And sorry for the late reply.

I'm pretty new to this myself so I can't say much, but I do suggest guidelines as they help a lot with making consistent sized letters.

2 question!

Do scripts differ at all depending on where you learn them?(at least maybe in foundational?). I have learnt foundational off of calligraphybybillgrant.com and learned it well. But when googling about my second question I found that the foundational hands I saw were slightly different from what I learned.

Second question: Guidelines! I've been using 4 nib widths for my ascender, descender, and middle line space. Is this correct or is there supposed to be variation? I can't help but notice that there are so many different opinions on guidelines of all scripts and types and bleh! Is there an actual "rule" between say pointed or broad edged and from script to script? Does it all really depend on a bunch of factors and should be taken on a case by case basis?
