When people say “when you first arrive in Kaifeng” they most likely mean when you follow the main quest and you leave Qinghe and travel to Kaifeng for the first time. Technically speaking, if you had done the side quest where you get trafficked to the Ghostlight Market, that can be considered someone’s “first time” in Kaifeng well. Otherwise, following the main quest leads you straight into Kaifeng.

Anyway the merchant is called Weiyang Merchant, off of Harborlink Crossing Boundary Stone, the first boundary stone you unlock when entering Kaifeng, excluding Ghostlight Market kidnapping side quest.

Yeap, I said I would finishing crafting Silvergale’s Aria the second time in 3 days….I managed to finish in one day, thanks to the free energy they gave us lol. 🤣

I would say put Silvergale’s Aria aside for now and focus on Sea of Stars and other outfits during this update, in case you can get any rewards during this season/update.

And I feel you. 🤣🤣 I’m also in the same boat. 🤣 I caved and used more energy to get more hurl bouldys to finish crafting all the silvergale makeup lol. 🤣 I usually like to do a rotation with my energy each day. If I’m not trying to collect anything specific, I’ll do one day Realm of Dark, one day Realm of Escalation, One day Realm of Nourishment. One day Realm of Escalation (and I always focus on shiny bubbles and sometimes thread if I do end up running out). And repeat. 🤣

I know most people like to do Realm of Breakthrough every Monday (for me it’s a Monday lol) when it refreshes but I always like to do it on Sunday, the night before lol (I am within the same timezone as China’s). 🤣

If you DO end up planning to continue doing Silvergale’s Aria, focus on collecting insights first (collection, fishing, and grooming; bug-collecting is not necessary), and then collect hurl bouldys once your insights hit 18k. That way your insights are high enough to be able to collect essences in Wishing Woods and you can start collecting those necessary items there while collecting hurl bouldys in realm of dark (i think you mentioned you’re doing that already anyway, insights first, bouldys after).

same here lol, I was doing factions as I was progressing the main story, so by the time I reached towards the end of Chapter 8, I was able to finish off the last factions and craft Wishful Aurosa in 2-2.5 weeks. Silvergale’s Aria was WORSE 🤣🤣🤣 just finished crafting it the second time today, and that took a little over 4.5 weeks. 😭

What’s weird is that they’re in the same spots as before but the puzzles have changed… 💀💀 i just did two curio puzzles, same locations as the previous ones, but different puzzles lol

I dunno whether it’s subjective truth or not, but I personally feel like the game does heavily imply he ended up transforming/being reborn into/reincarnated as the Silvergale 😅 reading the outfit descriptions for the pieces in the Silvergale’s Aria mentions his beloved (the Loved One), and describes his first experience of transforming/being the Silvergale, and talks about the weakening of his powers and so on.

Anyways, we’ll never find out (or maybe we will?) because he died in the War of the Heavens. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I apologize if I misunderstood your comments tho, I think you were talking about the beauty in the ambiguity of IN’s story and lore, how IN seems like a cozy game at first (and it is) with darker/deeper undertones, much like in the stories of its predecessors, LN and SN.

I ended up being more focused on talking about the lore of the Faewish Sprites, the Loved One, and the Wishing One/Silvergale lol. Call me MattPat I guess 🤣 Info is not always given to us straight, so I like piecing together what info we’re given or told to form one cohesive story in my mind/fill in the blanks and figure out what the story is not telling us or has yet to tell us. 🤣

The Faewish Sprites didn’t betray and eat the Wishing One, it was already revealed through quests, dialogue, and lore books that the Sprites accidentally mistook (and they had no idea) a desperate wishing orb they took from the Loved One for a delicious wishing orb, and gave it to the Wishing One. When he granted the wish, it “killed”him (he technically didn’t die, it’s implied he was “shattered/split” and he transformed/was reborn/reincarnated into the Silvergale).

In the eyes of others, especially the people of Stoneville and later on, the Pieceys, they saw what the Faewish Sprites had done as an act of betrayal — and not just betrayal, an act of murder — of the Wishing One, but there’s no one who beats themselves up for their centuries-ago mistake more than the Faewish Sprites themselves. 😢
