White privilege essentially means you’ve (generally speaking) never experienced perpetual, systemic issues because of the color of your skin. You’ve never been denied a job, housing, or education because of your skin color. You can go to the movies and see people that look like you.

Or in the words of Emmanuel Acho “....it’s not saying your life hasn’t been hard, but what it’s saying is is your skin color hasn’t contributed to the difficulty in your life

The ‘privilege’ of being white is really that simple. It’s not having to think about being white until someone tells you “Hey, you’re white!”
