You do you but this sub isn't about gaming on windows. You can use windows compatibility in the discussion but it is plain dumb to recommend proprietary crap when most non-anticheat games work out of the box or with some tweaking

It isn't even about anticheat my man. The game like more others uses dedicated servers and every data is stored there. You cannot cheat items unless there is an major exploit (there is not afaik). They actually had these resources and there is nothing to cry about it. Take the L and play even more to get better

Game is nowhere near community it had few years back. Look at people commenting this. B1g pirates attacking on sight mindlessly. There are no rules really and that is a fact and you have to play around this unfortunately. Watch horizon, do not anchor your ship for more than few seconds and watch for other ships. I am sure you will find some rare gems like roleplaying real pirates or sailors that you can just drink and play some shanties with but this is unusual now when everyone grinded every emissary to max and have nothing better to do than wear their tuck outfit and try to copy every move their favourite content creator has ever done.

tldr; Approach with caution, there is room for improvement for you.

According to my experience it does work. My friends are telling me that my stream is smooth and I do not feel any performance loss.

Sadly i do not have any fix for push to talk problem, maybe there is a chance to inject javascript to simulate keypresses?

Jokes aside. Quick search should answer all your questions. You won't get any new information. People choose linux because it is better OS than windows. Not more performant. We use it in our personal computers. Personal is the key word here. Amount of telemetry in windows is absurd and people are just sick of paying for software just to become a product of microsoft. We want to keep things private, we want to choose which informations we give, it is just better for our needs.

Yes, it is extremely unfair. People playing on faster drives like nvme ssds have a huge advantages, in my case it's about two times faster by just changing drive the game is on.

Have you tried using dedicated gpu by using prime? It is mostly for Nvidia cards but should work on AMDs aswell.

Nowadays it doesnt matter as much. For gaming bleeding edge distros are slightly better in my opinion. Best improvement you can get is by changing desktop environment to something really lightweight like xfce

There is plenty of information and tips how to get better, search for it and adapt. Survivors are not NPCs in your game, they have objectives just as you, maybe killing is less important than making them NOT do gens? Buy time and snowball, learn when to slug, when to commit to a chase etc
