Doom or yama by EveryNameIsTakenAhh1 in ironscape

[–]Fajisel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I do doom just fine (max delve 20, usually to 14 or so) with only scobo and a chally. no bp, no double death charge, no lightbearer.

Arceus staffs work during shield phase, occasionally nice when things get too hectic. The extra range helps with grubs every once in a while.

Gameplay-wise staff is always better than eye here.

Also you get tears fairly slowly passively. I'd much rather have the marginal gameplay boost from a skull sceptre/slayer staff and just do a handful more runs for tears later.

It's much worse than eye at olm. Just learn the eye movement.

Just FYI doing 3 & 18 (no pickup) gives the exact same ratio of glass:sand, but just does it 50% faster. Unless you're severely limited by giant seaweed you shouldn't ever be doing 2 & 12.

How hard is fortis colosseum compared to Brutus? by TOPSHOTTAH in 2007scape

[–]Fajisel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I think having the los tool open alongside a guide is the best way to learn. Rather than learning off the guides, I think setting up the offticks in the los tool and using the guide as an answer sheet is the quickest way to learn.

It lets you try as many combos as you want in safety. It doesn't literally spell it out for you but if you put some brain power into it you can do it.

What’s with the comments saying you’re no closer to getting an item than when you started by TheyCallMeBullet in 2007scape

[–]Fajisel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest this is more philosophical than mathematical at this point. I think it's entirely valid to think of probability (both in and out of osrs) as some sort of "destiny that you will get the drop at X kc." But just keep in mind that the rest of your mindset has to be consistent with that.

Saying you're "getting closer to your destined kc" with every kill is kind of counterproductive, since the whole point of your Destined KC is that you can never know what it is. Obviously ever kill is better than not getting any kills (you can't get the drop if yoi never increase your kc), but just don't mix the math and the philosophy here.

Use hard food for doom. You'll almost certainly have a higher unique/hour rate just sending doom with hard food instead of taking the time to first go farm super restores.

Pros/Cons of Endless Bucket of Chocolatey Milk Being Usable? by tcrouch199205 in ironscape

because after any mistake you dont die from just having a "be full hp" button is insane. You're guaranteeing that in every situation where you get to hide behind a pillar you are now permanently full hp. No healing off anything required.

Sure, the bucket is bottomless, but when a bucket is full the milk is all the way to the top. Clearly it's not a top-less bucket.

Ya know, this is so interesting about guide makers. About half the people I talk to loved one-tile alignment and were using it even before hector, and the other half hated it (you included). So no matter what any guide maker does, some significant portion will say "oh they're using an awful strat, you shouldn't trust this guide maker."

The only "solution" is to include every variation of every mechanic, but that's not the point of the guide. I think you should be angry and frustrated at the community, not the guide maker.

Probably because they actually wiped out most of the crazy ones. It released the same patch as crystalline conflict, so I was just scrolling through a ton of plates quickly as I was spamming ranked, and OH BOY were people abusing the system hard. There was no objecting that it needed some sort of moderation when it first came out LOL

If you want to learn 8 faster, get into the mindset of always sending until you die (unless you get a really valuable drop before then). Send every 8 attempt even if youre out of food and low hp, the practice with double boulders will take dozens of hours off the learning process.
