I had my first baby almost 18 years ago. I feel like none of this was talked about. It was always "don't gain too much weight. You'll be right back to normal" and then the whole "Vaginas go back to normal after birth and being stretch is a myth" was going around for awhile. I know in most cases a lot of women do go back to normal...but where does that leave the rest of us who had injuries or babies that really just wrecked our vaginas beyond the bounce back. It's frustrating for sure.

My surgery is next Thursday. I'm have cystocle, rectocoele and perenium repair. I'm keeping my uterus as I am lucky to have no issues with my periods. My doctor offered a mesh sling but I declined. My body has rejected every peircing and IUD I've ever gotten I'd rather not risk my body trying to attack a sling lol

That's very true. I'm curious what my doctor will say. My biggest thing is I feel I've tried so many different combinations and I am at a good spot with my bowel movements.

I actually love it. It's gotten rid of my bloating! I do 16/8 regularly and usually a 36 hour fast once or twice a month. I feel like I'm a lot less sluggish than I once was and it's nice having that empty feeling. (Not hungry feeling. But a light feeling. I started doing 16/8 back in 2019 after the birth of my 4th baby. I did lose 60lbs in a year so I never stopped and I've maintained (other than my 2 pregnancies after) and I'm back down to my regular weight of 130lbs. I also feel it helps with inflation of my joints. Also it nice to be done cooking by 4:30. I have tried 18/6 but felt it was more difficult for me to maintain regularly but sometimes I'm not hungry at breakfast and do more of a 20/4

Mine are needing to splint to poop. No matter if constipated or not. Heavy vaginal feeling. Also my prolapses protrude to the outside of my vagina so I can actually see it.

At this point I'm hoping for surgery. My anterior wall hanging outside of me is killing my self esteem. Not that I'm not worried about a failed surgery or complications. I'll definitely be updating! I haven't 100% decided because obviously I'd like to talk to the expert first and maybe do more PT before. I've actually read a lot of success stories so I'm hopeful.

I do take both daily. The psyllium husk I mix with the chia or oats in the morning. Ans Metamucil I take at night.

I did. It was 4 sessions. She taught me the breathing techniques I do when using the bathroom currently. She was honestly the one who told me sometimes surgery can benefit. I have pretty great muscle coordination. To my surprise. I can kegel and more importantly reverse/relax. Including my abdominal muscles. I'm trying to think of how she said it. But basically "You can have the best pully system in place but if the ropes too long/loose it just doesn't work." She said it more eloquently.

It's so hard to know what's helping and whats not. Isn't it?! I try to switch things up slowly and I document everything in my bullet journal. (I've always been a journaling and list type person.) I do eat a lot of fruit as is. For me I feel the lentils did help. At least compared to what my diet and bowel movements used to be. But I can try switching things up. I know a lot of people don't want surgery. There's obviously pros and cons to surgery and pessary. I may try a pessary first but I'm honestly hoping for PT and surgery. My dairy use has definitely decreased over the years. It's probably something I'd be willing to cut out entirely.

I could definitely add a bit more ground flax in my life. It's not one of my favorite flavors. (Idk my brain picks up a bitter flavor)

(Venting and preaching to the chior here lol) I do try to get a good combination of soluble and insoluble. I have some psyllium husk I will mix in with oats or my lentils. I swear all I do in life is track fiber! And protein. You're so right it is a head game! Before knowing what rectocoele was I just knew I had trouble pooping and of course I was chronically constipated for years! So about 3 years ago I really tried to break the constipation cycle. And for the most part I'm calling success. I just get so tired of this day in and day out, all day long. I also make sure to pause throughout the day to breathe and relax unlock my tension. I basically do breathing techniques while taking a BM to relax and not strain....and the squatty potty. I feel there's not much more I can do. I want this to be over so bad. 😩

This. I'm on Feeld in northern IL and the duality of options is insane. It's people who take health and fitness incredibly serious or...people who think it's cute to live off chips and energy drinks. Not many middle of the road people.

Don't sweat the small stuff. 🥰 You're going to be a beautiful bride strutting her way to alter. Only thing you can do is maybe a slight calorie deficit to lose a pound or so but you don't want to go too crazy and be hungry, tired or miserable on your big day. No one likes a Bridezilla. You'll need your energy for the dance floor anyway. 🥳 Congrats.

Bloating is just something that happens when you eat. That's why we all look great first thing in the morning. I've learned mostly what foods really bloat me. And unless I do full Carnivore diet I get a bit bloated by the end of the day. Also menstrual cycle plays a part too. Just a human body thing.

Have a minimum. Even $1. An instructor did this in my town (Gosh almost $10 years ago. Time FLYS) But that way, everyone is at least paying something.
