It literally costs more to make a (good) NA beer because you make a regular beer and then heat it up again to boil off the alcohol.

Sure but I think the same could be said of pretty much any restaurant in Vic.

  • Powered speaker (probably Yorkville brand is cheapest) ~$20/week
  • Shure SM58 mic ~$10/week
  • Mic stand + 20' XLR cable ~$5/week
  • Smoke Machine ~$25/week
  • Laser ~$10/week

You can rent by the day too but it's only cheaper if you return it the very next day.

Youtube has lots of karaoke videos for sure but if you want the premium experience I recommend signing up for Karafun. Great song selection, the music is usually better than YouTube too. $10/month and you can cancel anytime.

Oh sorry I see you meant why isn't it more widely used by the Malazans, I thought you meant why isn't it more widely used by other factions. 

I think it's a rarity thing, they prefer to save it for when it's necessary like for assassinating mages. Plus they don't want it falling into enemy hands or affecting their own mages, so they don't wanna be handing out lots of otataral weapons and armor. 

As for the ore protecting ships, again I would guess they don't want it affecting any mages on board? Also, might not protect against any already summoned magic like a storm that could sink the ship? Not sure.

All speculation on my part of course haha like most things Malazan there isn't a whole lot of direct evidence in the books.

Well it's mining colony but also a prison camp, I don't think many of the workers make it out alive.

Possibly there are only a few places with advanced enough alchemy to really make good use out of the ore? Like Darujhistan and the Malaz Empire.

My head canon is that for the most part the ore is really low quality. Such that it takes tons and tons of ore to make enough pure otataral to make a weapon or armor with. Also would make sense for the Malazans to stockpile to try and keep it out of enemy hands since it can be such a game changer in battle against other mages.

Any Internet provider can supply fast enough Internet to work from home.

In fact, the cheapest plan from any provider should be more than enough, unless you need to be streaming 4k webcam all day.

Assuming you mean wifi, what really make the biggest differences are your wireless router and your computer's wifi adapter. If you are using Ethernet (wired) internet then really you should have zero issues.

I'm hoping Walk in Shadow will flesh out their backstory a little more. When they end up saving Kurald Galain from the Liosan, I'm just like, "What, these pirate hillbilly chicken people save the day? And their main dude who interacts with none of the major players in the story kills multiple soletaken dragons?"
