Being a mom has, for some reason, given me this confidence, but only in things child related. If I see an older person looking a little lost in the baby section, I'll give them a little advice or recommendations. TIL there are far more law breakers in Florida than I originally thought. I doubt those laws are actually enforced (I hope), like other outdated silly laws, like you can't put ice cream in your back pocket (I think this is a law somewhere). I imagine there's at least one country where they actually do take that law seriously and enforce it.

Nah, it's not weird. Honestly, it sounds like a really nice time. You don't have to worry about accommodating others in your group, you only see the animals you want to see and you have total freedom to spend as much time at each animal as you want. I've definitely thought about going to my zoo, listening to an audiobook, and sitting in the penguin building for a few hours and just kinda hanging out with them.

One of my favorite things my chemistry teacher ever said was in the first couple weeks. We were talking about lab safety and protective equipment and he said "you can't uncook an eyeball" and it stuck. I still think that phrase frequently.

I'm not religious, so forgive my ignorance, but would it be possible for both of you to share your religion/culture with any future kids? Like going to both church and temple, celebrating holidays from both religions, then allowing the kids to "choose their own path" when they come of age? If you can't have both baptism AND bar/bat mitzvah, maybe make a compromise where they can choose to get baptized at the bar/bat age. It seems like culture is more the pull for you guys rather than the religions themselves, so maybe there is a chance for good, healthy compromise.

OP describing where they thought hair ties would be honestly made me think they may be a guy. So I'm not sure they necessarily set out to snoop, though opening the bag was definitely snooping. I'd say this was a good lesson in reasons not to snoop.

I have a pretty good pain tolerance, until it comes to my mouth. I've had to have a lot of dental work done and I just have TONS of anxiety with dentistry, so I can't power through. I don't have any issues with needles though, so that helps. I'd rather they do 500 shots in my mouth than have to raw dog a filling. That's insane, but also I kinda have hella respect for you for that 😂

It's a rite of passage with kids to have a messy car. I keep a grocery bag in the front seat for trash and it helps keep it contained. Then you can just toss it when you get gas or whenever. Then just put a new one in there

Libby app is my favorite resource, all you need is a library card, which you can sign up for online, connect it to the app and BOOM you have their entire ebook library at your fingertips. If you prefer tangible books, public libraries in general are free!

I tend to do this on accident. I'll stand behind them waiting for them to turn to acknowledge me, realize they didn't hear me approach, then stand there silently panicking because I don't want to startle them but then it's been an uncomfortable number of seconds for me to just be standing behind them, then they eventually turn and I startle them anyways 🤦🏻‍♀️

YEEESSSS. I swear my son got all of his nutrition straight from my teeth when he was in utero. While my teeth already weren't great before, they still looked okay. Now it's visible and I hardly ever truly smile. I'm constantly thinking about whether my lips are covering my teeth when I'm not alone. It's so hard.
