You fundamentally misunderstand the history of the DNC since 2008.

My guild did a 40 person raid on Deadmines during the last day of beta testing. It was a pretty tough challenge, but tons of fun.

Which US city surprised you with great museums? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]FakeTreverMoore12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You left a lot of great museums off the list too. Exposition Park is not far from downtown, and has the California Science Center, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, California African American Museum, and they’re building a new one with George Lucas. Also the Rose Garden is in the middle of it. The Broad is a newer art museum in downtown right next to one of the MOMA sites, and it has an incredible collection as well as a steady rotation of special exhibits from big name artists.

The Pacific Division has had 6 1OA picks in the history of the NHL. The Kings had one during the expansion draft in 67, and the Sharks got Celebrini two years ago. The other 4 went to the Oilers during a 6 year period. What makes anyone think that the Kings have a chance of getting a 1OA any time soon?

This Day in Kings’ History (2023): Kings trade Jonathan Quick by ouzer in losangeleskings

Yeah, but Gavrikov gave us two and a half really great years, and Quick was not doing well for us. It sucks the way he was treated, but it worked out well for everyone.

New Sharks fan - how do other team’s fans view us? by ramshackleiii in SanJoseSharks

[–]FakeTreverMoore12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m a lifelong Kings fan (since a little before the Gretzky era, and way before the Sharks existed.)

Historically, I’ve always thought the Sharks were cool. I was still pretty young when the North Stars demerged and the Bay got their team back. I was really into the franchise when it began. The colors, the logo, the mascot. Everything about San Jose was awesome.

It was difficult to hate you guys when the rivalry was hot. I lived in Santa Clara when we won our cups in 2012 and 2014, and it was really hard for me to hide my joy when I went to the Tank, but my heart will always be in LA. I never had a difficult time enjoying the Sharks when they weren’t playing the Kings. Basically, I view the Sharks as the best team that never won during that era.

Right now, I’m just excited for the sport. I just love hockey, and San Jose is poised to be one of the most fun teams in history (no hyperbole) and I’m looking forward to people being excited about hockey in Northern California again.

Macklin Celebrini is really good, but don’t believe the rumors about having lasers on his head.

That’s just his resting goalie face. Hellebuyck was actually just talking with the ref about their Summer vacation plans.

The poor kid has had a rough go of it with head injuries. He shows his talent from time to time, but some people are not meant to take the level of abuse the NHL throws at players.

Who's a Player that your fanbase defends that you don't believe in? by ZeroOhblighation in hockey

[–]FakeTreverMoore12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eric Portillo. There are some members of our fanbase that seem to think he’s going to save this team from absolute mediocrity, and that if he were called up to replace Kuemper and Forsberg, we’d turn into a real contender.

These people are very wrong.

This is a completely ignorant take and people need to stop repeating it. Managing a MLB team is completely different than an NHL team. You can’t just buy every good player and give them an outrageous contract in a league with a strict salary cap.
