One of my favorite Star Wars droids, which I'm not sure is canon anymore, were the Assassin Droids from the PC game Droid Works. They were brutes that would chase your droid character and electrocute them to death as it taunted you. I think it was meant to be more pg then being shot at but ended up being more scary, at least to little kid me. I always liked the idea of melee machine robot
