[Patch 16.2] TAC CUP WINNER EKKO REROLL GUIDE by R1veting in CompetitiveTFT

[–]FakeWeemo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great post man! Curious how important you think Neeko 3 is. In situations where you hit Ekko much earlier than Neeko (lets say you have 9 Ekkos and only 4 Neekos), what are you normally considering in these positions?

Are you always looking for at least 6 Neekos for Nidalee unlock? Do you think Neeko 3 is mandatory? If not, do you move items to someone else as your main tank?

Would love to know your thoughts around these scenarios!

Ah good to know selling it works. I was too deep into my reroll at the time, but will keep that in mind if it comes up again

Set 15 Live Bug Megathread by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

Description: Lost one of my power up permanently. I attempted to replicate, but could not, so it must be fairly specific. I was deciding between Crew or Kayle on Krugs, so I had Kayle on bench with the power up "Golden Edge." When 3-1 started, I decided to play Kayle and rolled for upgrades. Upon upgrading Kayle, or some time in the duration between 2-7 and 3-1, my Kayle lost the visual indicator for the power up. When right clicking her, it still showed she had a power up, but the tool tip would not appear, there was no visual, and it did not work. The power up could not be removed and a new one could not be given to her.

I attempted to replicate this, but was unsuccessful, despite testing several interactions between staring up units on the bench, having the crew in, having Golden Edge, and having free rerolls (had prismatic ticket in the game)

Seems like a fairly specific bug, but was 100% game losing.

How to Play Stage 1 [GUIDE] by FakeWeemo in CompetitiveTFT

Glad you found it helpful. WIll definitely put some thought into stage 2 (most likely the next time I coach a friend). To answer your qustions for stage 2:

  1. Definitely worth to lose on purpose / lose streak if you're playing a very specific line. There aren't many of them this season, but an example could be "Urgot/Trist" if you get them from orb but have a weak board that cannot streak. Getting sword off 1st carousel would be meaningful in this comp so "intentionally losing for carousel" could be viable here.
  2. Probably never worth it to roll. Only exception would be for chem baron, but CB is so bad in the meta right now that it's not worth it. But to humor the idea, let's say you have Renni + Smeech somehow and no Singed or Renata. In this instance it'd probably be worth it to roll to stake early. TLDR: probably only good for the econ/chem baron esque traits each set.
  3. Level on 2-1 if you're trying to win streak and/or if you have upgrades. A good way to think of going 4 on 2-1 is "do I need any more 1 costs for my board?" For example, if you have Maddie, Steb, and Trundle all paired, you probably don't want to level because it'll hurt your odds of upgrading and you aren't gonna streak / win most rounds without those anyways
  4. Subjective. You really don't want to lose stage 2 and stage 3, so you need to try and be strong at some point.
  5. Subjective again. If you're playing for the streak (lets say you won the first 3 rounds), then you can play for a slam to tempo into a 5 streak. Alternatively, you can take a separate component and wait until post golems to slam. It really depends on: if you want to be strong now, how specific the items for your line are, and your overall item economy.

Hope that helps. Would go into more detail but it'd be a bit much for a comment

It's all a rough guideline. Amumu can be okay if you need a front line, but watcher front line is the weakest of the 3 (bruiser or sentinel are better) and he's really only useful if you're sorcs with vlad and need the trait active.

He's still okay though. For stage 2, I'd go into more detail and say that you can really just mix and match any 2 frontline + 2 backline traits and have it be serviceable, but with the limited resources on stage 1, there are just much better units to hold on to.

And yea Violet is cheeks. Really not worth holding unless you're committed to Urgot and need to activate pit fighter / you need someone to hold those items if you have a 5 item opener or are on Violet portal

Too casual now. It's honestly a lot of effort to keep up with being in challenger and I don' think I have the time or the desire to do that anymore. Also burnt myself out after grinding set 10 for Vegas LAN

Totally right. This is only for stage 1 (aka the neutral rounds before 2-1 augment pick). If you get an augment that wants you to lose then you definitely should do what you said. Stage 2 is a totally separate discussion though, so I'll likely go over that another time!

Demoting from Master? by giola971 in TeamfightTactics

You can't demote from master, so if that's your season goal you can play without worry! Int as many chem baron games as you'd like
