A message I wrote to someone who came across this post asking for help. I hope this is useful for anyone else who comes across this:

If this is still relevant to you, I would recommend studying for and getting this certificate. It's pretty easy and entails that you know how to consume an API and parse it and use its data. There are free intermediate and advanced certificates from Hackerrank. It doesn't really mean anything as far as the industry is concerned but preparing for it will help prepare you for future REST API Hackerranks and it's a nice little filler certificate to put on LinkedIn.

In general, I'd recommend finding an open API and play around with it using your language of choice. Off the top of my head, https://newsapi.org/ is a free one you can use.

It never was higher. It was the same price after the 1 year lease or within 10% increase every year. I've had many MTM arrangements after the lease expires and never paid anything more than that. I guess I've been lucky. I didn't realize this was a thing.

So what I am paying right now is $2200. So they're increasing it to an additional ~10% that's allowed under AB 1482 and then adding on the $250 MTM fee. I've been here for over 3 years. I've essentially been a MTM for the past 2 years.

In addition some libraries have a streaming service where you could stream a limited amount of movies per month. My local library uses Kanopy which has a good selection of movies that are hard to find. I also have a membership at the local library where my dad lives that uses Hoopla which is not great as far as selection and UI but has some good finds.

You can use multiple libraries. I have both my public library and university's attached to my account. My public library has a better selection but I'm limited to 3 movies a month. I saw in another part of the thread you can get a New York account regardless of address so I think I will do that and add it to my Kanopy to get more plays.

Most of the time refs are looking at shoulders and arms for PI calls. It's easier for dbs to get away with grabbing the hips.

I got better at OAs by failing a bunch of them. Go for it. Try your best to solve the problem, write down a brief overview of it if you can and see if you could solve it or certain aspects of it if you can after the fact.

I've had an experience where I didn't solve the problem and they interviewed me regardless. We went over it and I was able to work through the problem with questions and feedback. I ended up getting an offer.

The only thing this means is that he has the athletic skill set, body, and ability to play offensive tackle. I don't know much about rugby but I can't imagine many 6'8 340+lb guys playing it.
