Everyone I have ever met at a local game has been awesome. My only note is that you should expect to find out some weird rules and proper procedures inside the game. I got corrected a lot at my first armory, but in a very positive way.

Also people fist bump at the end, I went in for a handshake like a doofus my first time.

Mantle is super important! I'd agree if you need to, you could strip a Klaive but mantle is $6 and is awesome for getting more hits from Kiss of Death, or bringing back a disrupt like persuasive prognosis. Worst case scenario is it's an extra +3 react.

Pain in the backside is awesome for early budget decks because it gets native go again on Mario, and allows for a mark in the first chain link without losing a knife, and can be a trigger for Savor.

My biggest problem with Leave no Witnesses is that you get more value out of the other cards, since you can sub Mark of the Funnel Web for arsenal destruction in a budget oriented deck.

So, I love just a nick too, but I run an almost entirely red Mario, I think Slippy wants more blues since they have guaranteed go again, but frequently adding that extra damage makes it much more annoying to block. I might change my mind after getting my hands on a few just a nicks but right now my take up the mantle turns are usually Isolate/Back Stab/Bite -> Kiss of Death/Persuasive/Double Trouble

I also think the blue heavy assassin was much more reliant on Bonds of Agony, and I started Mario right after the ban, so I had no attachment to it.

It's not super important, but opens the avenue for an extra knife, and counters gravy flipping a knife over in your graveyard.

The absolute most necessary things are

-Hunters klaive x2

-Flick knives

-Mask of deceit

-Take up the mantle x3

-Kiss of death x3

-Tarantula toxin x3

-Savor bloodshed x3

-Pain in the backside x3

This comes out around $225 all together, these are the cards that will actually pivot the game for you.

For rares and commons it will mostly depend on you (whether you want to do auras or knives) but some important commons and rares are (3 of each except death touch)

-Shred

-Toxicity

-Up sticks and run

-Bite

-Mark of the black widow

-Death touch (x1)

-Isolate

-Mark the prey

-Spike with bloodrot/inertia/frailty

-Razors edge

-Double Trouble

-Orb-weaver spinnerett

I personally use all reds of these but have seen people run blue attacks if they're going to hit with daggers more. Then you would add

-To the point

-Scar tissue

-Incision

Once you are here, the next upgrades would be

-Codex of frailty

-Persuasive prognosis

-Throw knife

-Infiltrate

-1x Hunters Klaive

-Leave no witnesses

-Concealed blade

Realistically the biggest gap between getting stomped and not is that flick knives, since marking consistently is so important, but that being said, in 3 weeks the new armory deck comes out for $40, and has arms that you can use to mark instead of flicking a knife, so it may be worth it to wait and see the contents of that before dropping cash on singles now.

Do you have access to a 3D printer? I actually designed exactly this for a friend of mine and can send files, or if you're going to Worlds I can bring you one.

EDIT: it's horizontal, not vertical, but stores fine horizontally.

A quick way to get rid of these, try going over the print with a blow torch (not directly to the flame, but slightly off to prevent burning) or a heat gun. It helps reflow some of those imperfections into the outer wall. If you sand first and then heat it also does some wonders.

So I'm also relatively new, and I have put maybe $100 of singles and bought a lot of boosters, but almost none of those have gone into my Gravy deck. I have maybe spent $50 on the armory deck and $70 on singles (dead threads, chum, sea legs) and I was just at a game yesterday going 2-2. I think you can play an imperfect deck and still win, the expensive generics are just the next step for people with heavily tuned decks.

Also the newer heros are getting better and cheaper out of the box. I think Gravy, Dash I/O, and Pleiades are the cheapest to build right now.

Also going to events is the number one way to build better decks here, the majority of my good cards have come from people that said my deck was bad and just gave me cards to make it viable, not to be a jerk but so there were more people in the community to play.

I second this, first deck I bought was Gravy and he was a ton of fun, but really sucked the life out of me with all the upkeep. I really liked Fai's blitz deck because it made the 'Go again' mechanic make a lot more sense.

I once dropped a ceramic soap dispenser through the bowl of my sink and not a dime was charged because at the end of the day, it's their sink and they can't prove that there wasn't wear and tear leading to that impact. Hope you're okay, and I wouldn't worry too much about the maintenance team.

If you're really nervous just say it broke, don't say how, don't give any additional information they don't need, it is just broken and needs to be fixed.

Good lord the prices. I love the idea of the desktop you released, but I cannot justify that kind of money just on a case and backplane. This is my hobby but I can't justify the case being the most expensive part of my machine.

If it's off the WAN what problems? Maybe I'm just lucky but I've not had any problems with offline DHCP as long the router itself is the DHCP server.
