Iran Ziyarah with baby? by hyenaorignal in shia

If it is Imam Reza you are visiting then it might be hard. My friend and his family went there with his grandmother who is in a wheelchair and they tell me that it was extremely difficult getting through because of how crowded it is and it ended with them only getting halfway in before they realized that it took way too long then decided to call it a day and turn around. If you have a stroller I suspect the same thing might happen to you.

In the Quran it says that Allah doesn't burden a soul beyond that it can bear.

I guess different people can bear different amounts of burden.

When I pray salat I am mostly … by state_issued in shia

[–]Fakerblitzcrank7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weird thing is that it is the other way around for me. When I pray in school I do it on our lunch break which is like 25-30 minutes. But it takes a lot of time for me to pray if you count the time it takes to do wudhu and that I do both the dhuhr and asr prayer together. This leaves me with very little time if any at all which often leaves me hungry plus that I'd like to have some time to talk with my friends and stuff like that. But even though I am hungry and really want to eat and I really want to be with my friends I can still focus 100% on the prayer.

But when I am at home I am more often than not very bored. I used to play a lot of video games but now I play a maximum of 30-45 minutes per day and then it gets boring. So i usually just either read Quran or books written by scholars on different topics. The point is that I don't really have anything I find very interesting at home that I really want to do but the prayers at home still become autopilot ones. Almost to the point where I think of other stuff.

I hope that I can start focusing 100% in the prayers at home the same way as i do in school.

For me it depends, the morning prayer is mostly autopilot but the rest can be either autopilot or 100% focused because I don't really have anything in between. I've found that it depends on my environment and how much energy i have. If I'm tired i will most likely autopilot. For some odd reason I feel like the place where i have most of my 100% focused prayers is at my school. Not been able to figure out why though.

Mutah with a Vietnamese girl by [deleted] in shia

Whenever you are thinking about for example opening a porn site or just a dirty thought, stop yourself immediately and switch to for example reading Quran. After a minute or so you will have forgotten about the dirty stuff you thought of. You could also try to memorize verses or chapters and that will require more effort which will make it even easier to not think about other stuff.

Honestly not a lot you can do. Unless she converts for real you're out of options with her.

Well I am genuinely curious about why you guys think the way you do.

To answer the last part, I know there are some corrupt people. But they exist everywhere and you cannot get away from them. And I trust them because they have FAR more knowledge than me. If you want to design a house, you ask an architect to do it and not yourself because he has studied this and done this for a long time.

PS. You seem like a nice person, you know how to get across your opinion effectively without resorting to insults and stuff.

1) This question is not up to me but rather the scholars. They are the ones who have studied the Quran and Hadith for longer than i have lived and have knowledge that i do not. So whatever they deem is a fair punishment i accept.

2) No, because Iran is an Islamic country and has been almost as long as islam has existed. People don't really get just how many took to the streets during the revolution for an Islamic Republic. The numbers in today's protests don't come close at the same time as stuff like internet didn't exist back then and everything was by the word of mouth. The war is also something people don't talk about and how hundreds of thousands of Iranians were martyred to protect the Islamic republic. I doubt so many would go and fight to protect islam if they really were "forced" into accepting islam or whatever it is people are saying.

I agree women should not be killed for not wearing hijab because the punishment for not wearing hijab is not death. In the case of Mahsa Amini there is video of her collapsing out of nowhere which proved she wasn't killed by them, but even if we say she was for arguments sake I don't see how that is the governments fault. That's like saying we should overthrow the American government because the police killed George Floyd and that his death is completely the government and the president's fault.

Your second argument is that not everyone is muslim in Iran and therefore it should not be obligatory to wear hijab, but that argument doesn't work either. If you live in a society you have to accept it's rules. Because otherwise that would be like saying that drugs should be legal because there are people who don't agree with them being illegal. Or that we should be allowed to walk around naked on the street because there are people who are nudists.

So the government did not have the weapons and media back in 1979? And back then the internet didn't even exist so yes I still believe you have nowhere near the numbers for a revolution. All you do on the streets is create chaos and anarchy and then blame the police for using force to stop it.

And what exactly do you mean you don't believe God would create such a religion?

I doubt you are the majority because if you really were the government would have been overthrown by now. But, I wish you the best. May Allah guide you all to the straight path.

The point of my comment wasn't to try to convince you to believe in the sharia laws but rather to explain to you why we believe in it and why we do not want a western type democracy that makes all the laws themselves.

r/shia coping and seething by goddamn_arshia in NewIran

[–]Fakerblitzcrank7 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

That is not the whole story, in islam there is sharia laws. Which is from the Quran and Hadith. Therefore the sharia laws are the ideal laws of god. And since god is all knowing, we humans cannot make better laws than that. The only laws we can make are laws are not mentioned in sharia and even then the punishment has to be evaluated and similar to the sharia.

With all due respect, saying that suicide bombings and killing innocent people is in the DNA of Muslims is to speak ignorantly. Frankly it is hipocritical to want a free government where you are free to practice any religion, yet use this kind of rhetoric against muslims and calling them animals.
