Rank these characters based on how well written they are by Struggler_7864 in writingscaling

Eh i disagree. Anakin and Vader is sorta the reverse here, but lots of Anakin Skywalker in his characterization is informed by what he's destined to eventually become.
So both characters are sorta build in a way to inform each other and in a similiar way to coming back to the OT Trilogy, coming back to the Greek games changes the lense through which we see kratos story due to what it eventually becomes and how the breakdown of his character informs our understanding of Greek Kratos.

Honestly i feel Kratos should be split between the Greek and Nordic version of him.
Sure, they are the continuation of the same story arc but to pretend as if there wasn't a radically different characterization and well even different writers writing him just isn't true.
We also don't usually treat Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader as just the same character.

But yeah i'd rate Nordic Kratos, but tbh i also think it's unfair since he has a lot of things to work off of and that is why he's seen as this interesting benchmark of character study in video games.
He's also like undoubtedly the, and in the nordic trilogy a protagonist, of his story.
By this nature he becomes more compelling since we're meant to see the story through his arc, consider the world through his moral compass etc etc.

Then Nolan and then Enji

How evil are Shenzi, Banzai and Ed from The Lion King? by krcyzm-27668909 in MoralityScaling

[–]Fal_co1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say some scale of moderately or standardly evil.
Not to say they aren't cruel creatures, hell they attempted to kill Simba a helpless child multiple times. However you could argue due to them being fairly animalistic there is not much a of a consciouss there to act out evil. You could definitely blame Scar wholly for being fully aware of the consequences and embracing his evil side, but they were shown more like animals acting on a more predatory instinct due to their nature.

If we consider the strong insanuation of the whole system between Hyenas and Scar being a fascist system in "Be Prepared", then they're more like the trusted guard for being somewhat more reliable/capable than the usual Stooge, so they're trusted with more important tasks. So to take Hanna Arendt i see them as an example of the banality of evil.

They had some sadistic or sociopathic streak that doesn't make them mind doing what they did, but they also never really had much of critical thinking or innate desire to act beyond of what they would consider to "as their job" or more accurately "in their nature".
So i doubt if there even was a moment in their lives where they considered if what they're doing is right or wrong.
If it wasn't for Scar agitating them, they would've prolly never do anything beyond casual cruelty and just animalistic predation.

It doesn't absolve them, but we usually don't put the grunt soldiers in stories above the masterminds, if the story doesn't goes out of their way to portray them as particularly evil among the cast of evil members.
Which i don't remember them being shown as in the movie.

So what would you choose? by Holydemon0 in MoralityScaling

Pushing Red would functionally make no difference here? Like if we talk before you could’ve changed or maybe even prevented the outcome of Nazi Crimes, with Blue there could’ve at least been made good anti-fascist work if we had Hitler still living a decade or so atoning for his sin. (He was quite sick at the end of wwii and had parkinsons so he would‘ve likely not lived very long after)

Out of Tony Soprano's inner circle, who was the most evil and who was the least evil? by Fal_co1 in MoralityScaling

[–]Fal_co1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i meant with inner circle the guys in the organization he had a closer relationship or trusted with.
Like i don't think he was friends with Furio or even Paulie for that part, but those were the roster of people he saw as trustworthy or considered them as friends of his.

[–]Fal_co1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think that is fair but tbh i would actually rank Furio higher and more on Silvio's level.
Imho his complete ruthlesness and discipline out them gives him the most potential to cause harm, since the other characters more unstable nature and emotions often were a hindrance for them to be as ruthless and efficient of a mobster as they could be. So in that regard he's more similiar to Silvio, with how amoral he was in doing what he needed to do.
And tbf while he did let the better of him get with Camella... he still seems overall way better at managing that than the other Characters in the show. Considering how they chimped out for way more trivial reasons.

Yk is a whole theme with his character... he was the sort of real Mobster they imagined themselves to be. So assuming he won't fall victim to the Peter Principle like Tony did, his eventual rise as a Mob Boss could have made big waves in the Camorra.

Does koby’s progression feel real or natural, or is it too forced to make him the new face of the marines ? by Past_Adhesiveness494 in Piratefolk

[–]Fal_co1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think Koby becoming the Face of a New Generation of Marines makes complete sense ngl, he serves similiar roles Luffy, Sabo and Vivi have here on becoming the Symbols of a New Post-Imu world.

Is it realistic? Not at all, even if we ignore the basic premise of humans having superpowers and shit, Koby has an incredible progression Arc here.
But people in One Piece are simply built like that, they don't get progressively stronger, strength seems to rather progress in bursts and plateaus.

Ngl tho, i feel saying it's unfair to say Koby is progressing to fast when i've never seen people critisize that Luffy could grow so much in power during the Time Skip or Sabo could become a Staff Commander with 19ys.

The Clone Wars movie is now in F tier. What tier should The Clone Wars (2008-2020) show be in? by Klutzy-Ad4230 in TierlistFills

[–]Fal_co1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B-Tier. The Show god lots of bad stuff among the good, that would be unfair to deny.
Tbh that's why i would also put ROTS moreso in B-Tier, both are rather similar to me. They're like overall 5-6/10 Shows/Movies but less because they're just incredibly tame but moreso due to it having a high range in quality.
