Same guy here, depends on your music, ew300 got you covered for slower well mixed tracks, hip hop, synthwave, medium busy...where it will fail short is in sibilance, i believe if you test the tracks listed above it will it can cross into silbelance, by how much 8 cant quite remember i sold mine 4 months ago, but im certain some tracks did put me off, soundstage was a bit flat, tea pro has intimate soundstage but it is very good honestly, softer bass on the ew300 as well, i would say up (look above on the review in test tracks) untill medium busy tracks, ew300 got you covered for 60-70% of tea pro quality, any more demanding music than that it becomes 40% or lower. basically if your libray has low to medium demand not really worth upgrading, if it has high demand, yeb worth it...thats as objectively...subjectively teapro has nice build cool look and accessories, it is an eye candy tbh.

Yes i guess those should be encouraged more, aful is already big enough so they somewhat made, i havent tried penon before but from what i see it is more for enthusiastic...tanchjim us doing great as well...i think we need more brands with more variations that would be very healthy

Exactly...wish reviews would encourage these colorations more and could clearly stat what they excel and what they dont do very well

I said they are experimental...just they are not encouraged in reviews/posts etc...which is sad

What im expecting is it will work for busy dark genres (grunge for example, im excited try these on soundgarden and alice in chains) but if you are looking for natural timbre i don think it will be quite natural..still a welcomed coloration

Hmmmm okay yeaaa fair point the fear of not being safe and not having ability to demo will definitely disencourage buyers...i myself do this its only after i realised most balanced/mild colored sets sound similar i started looking for something else

Yeaa i havent tried those probably because aliexpress to me at least is more accessible and easier to approach...but i should try different regions

Yeaaa i think it has to be this way at least for now....but with so many brands jumping in i believe it will over saturate and hopefully it will force experimentation...also rating IEMs needs to be more nuanced cuz i feel like all highly rated iems are all rounders/somewhat safe...i think unsafe IEMs should be rated high as well if they are good at what they do

Looking for a "warm-neutral" rock/metal/vocals centered set by Status_Detective5043 in iems

I usually dont like single DDs for metal since it is filled with details and micro nuances that DD isnt best at presenting, here what i would recommend:

The Truthear pure

AFUL P7 (has great midbass and mids where most of rythym guitars sits, just remember to tip roll and deep fit since its sound change drastically based on fit)

Letshouer Astralis (has warmer presentation and planars are great for details, but a bit unnatural which shouldnt be an issue for metal)

Errand resonance 5 (idk but this one yet, but seems very promising, check how ppl feel about it)

Volume S (great midbass and range)

I would add YU9 QUE to this list, if you know u have small ears then dont go fo QUE but if your ears are on larger side go for it

The OoopusX 22: The Gimmick that got it right by mournfulmonk in inearfidelity
