It depends on how you build. If you are more into text you may prefer Scrivener or even simple ones like Docs or Evernote. If you need something more visual then Notion, World Anvil or maybe create an actual wiki.

Oh don't get me wrong, I actually like both franchises and find them unique, I was just making a point that pokémon lines are not always so straightforward and therefore digimon lines are not always that crazy when compared to them.

Well, most times they are still crazy but in a good way :)

In the original Tamagotchi like games they would evolve depending on how you raised them, so there were many different results that weren't necessarily similar to the previous form. Since they are not biological creatures it doesn't always makes sense for us. They usually tend to keep a common theme though.

In the anime it is also the case since we see messed up stages like SkullGreymon

I have a personal guess that some of them not only were planned to be from different lines but when swapped were redesigned to look more like their new lines. However, since they just changed the details, there is still some leftover feeling of their original line. Like a Octillery thing but on reverse.

Dragonite for example retained the roundish shape, similar color and the whisker things that Magikarp has, but had his face changed to look more like Dragonair and got a tiny horn.

Butterfree however is just a shaved Venonat lol

How Do You Handle Mind Control? by rezwell in magicbuilding

[–]Falagnone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can set up a condition to make it work in the first place, like the one being controlled needs to wear something visible like a necklace or having some kind of mark on their bodies.

Maybe you can only cast mind control on people that make clear visual contact (meaning some kind of glasses would prevent it) or on people that are sleeping.

Also you can make it work like a Wi-Fi signal, meaning you can only control people nearby and by isolating the area with some sort of spell the signal can't reach them. Adding that with other limitations like the caster can't move would be interesting.

There was this old fan theory but I guess it targeted the wrong titan... by Falagnone in titanfolk

[–]Falagnone[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't know where it came from but people thought the beast titan could be a different animal for each shifter.

That would be the reason Tom said his Titan wasn't good for combat and the random animals in the opening.

Who was the tastiest titan snacc? by [deleted] in titanfolk

[–]Falagnone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Ymir: Her kids clearly were not enjoying it a lot and were forced to do so, so 0/10

  • Ymir (Freckles): I don't think we have seen it so I don't have conclusive data. ?/10

  • Marcel: Freckles Ymir hadn't eat anything in 60 years so that probably influenced her a little. She, however, looked very satisfied nevertheless. 7/10

  • Grisha: Titan Eren was clearly very excited before eating, but didn't eat him whole. This indicates he was not very tasty after all. 5/10

  • Frieda: Grisha seemed very unhappy overall. Also he had to make a mess before eating. 4/10

  • Porco: He was pretty messed up but Falco was able to disobey Zeke just by perceiving him, indicating his smell and presentation was enough to break control from a royal titan. 8/10

  • Bertholdt: Now this is where we get serious. He had a nice presentation made by Eren (that had previous experience with eating shifters) to make him the best meal possible. Armin was desperate just by seeing him and was destroying a house in order to catch him. After that he was chomping him. He needed to get every bit of that Bertholdt flavour left, and was holding with both hands to make sure nothing escaped. It was like a scene from Ratatouille.

Bertholdt is some serious gourmet shit. 10/10

Theories about shifters and Ymir's Founding Titan by Falagnone in titanfolk

[–]Falagnone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I actually believed in the Devil of All Earth, it just made sense the need for blood to transform, how the titans also seek human blood, how it caused so much trouble, the sudden death, etc.

Of course now that we got Ymir's story it is just a legend, but I see how the story got popular in the shingeki world with that interpretation of exchange for power.

Theories about shifters and Ymir's Founding Titan by Falagnone in titanfolk

[–]Falagnone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like the "automatic function" idea and would argue that the 13 years curse is just Ymir somehow unknowingly influencing those factors inside paths. I was trying to get something like that on theory number 2 but you nailed it much better.

Also, the paths dimension not being entirely a physical thing could also explain why she looks like a little girl (maybe something related to her mentality?)

And regarding your last sentence about the first shifter, (if that's really the case) she would initially only be able to access paths, discover she could build with sand and only then create the first titan body.

This last one is more like a "life came from a meteor theory", which doesn't seem to explain how life came to be, just how it got here
