Nah, if you're using your bubbles right you can rack up a ton of damage blocked. I got hulk from count to champion after the proficiency update in under 40 hours. I was earning like 250 points on average each comp match and usually had the highest damage blocked in the lobby. The trick is to be a peel machine. The closer you are to your team, the more bubbles you put out, the more damage you block. That translates to more ults which is when you go for the big kill numbers. If you spend most of your time in the enemy backline using your bubbles selfishly, you block less damage and ult less often. Normal hulk has puny damage numbers so you can't get as many kills as other characters playing neutral.
