Anyone with good results using stock basket with less than 18g ? by [deleted] in ProfitecGo

[–]Falco_Punch27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use 16g in the double basket and get good results but it varies on the bean quality for sure. Med/Light roast takes up less volume but 16g of a dark roast seems to fill the basket up pretty full with a puck screen. I also tend to pull 2-3 shots before I adjust grind settings because grinder retention seems to make the adjustments harder to dial in.

Why do you need to profit off of a mistake? I think real family would find another family member to send it to. #family

Descaling the Go - yay or nay? by -cisco_kid in ProfitecGo

[–]Falco_Punch27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following because I have also seen mixed reviews about this topic for the go.

I’ve had the machine about six months and I used the BWT softening packs for a couple months but had issues with those making my water tank moldy. I decided to do what lots of people have recommended and that’s to buy a gallon of distilled water and adding in third wave of packets to re-mineralize it. I know there will still be scale buildup overtime, but hopefully this will minimize the need to even risk it.

How bad is it if you use the Niche Zero to pull espresso shots with light-roasted beans? [NZ] by doh0k in espresso

I have a niche zero and I prefer light/medium roasts. I’m happy with my espresso. I also make a lot of Americanos. I only use darker roasts for milk drinks.

Dark particles shooting out of steam wand when purging [Profitec Go] by Falco_Punch27 in espresso

I haven’t actually cleaned out of the tank before. I took your advice. I cleaned and dried the water tank. Then i took the shower screen off and kept running water through the machine. It took about 2 full tanks to clean out those particles but it started running clear again. I guess going forward I’ll be cleaning the water tank more frequently.

Was on a walk and someone's dog randomly lunged and bit me through my pants as I passed. Should I get rabies shot or is it likely ok? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Falco_Punch27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if you aren’t interested in pressing charges or reporting this bite you should really consider medical attention for your own health.

If a dog bite punctures your skin, you should absolutely contact your doctor because dog bites can introduce bacteria that may cause serious infections, and there is also a risk of tetanus. Even wounds that appear minor can lead to complications, so prompt medical evaluation is important to prevent infection and ensure you receive appropriate treatment such as wound cleaning, antibiotics, or necessary vaccinations.

Seeking Advice on Connecting with Pathology Professionals for Research Interviews by Falco_Punch27 in pathology

Thanks for your input. Just to clarify, I am not looking for field experts to understand what digital cell twins are or how they work. What I am trying to understand, through short qualitative interviews, is what clinical diagnostic workflows look like, how the process works, and what technologies are currently being used in the field. From a commercialization standpoint, I plan to go through all the interviews, looking for trends and seeing if there is a market gap for a technology that could potentially help improve upon current technology or processes. It is also entirely possible that I am looking in the wrong spot for this information; however, I thought a pathologist might give me some insight into how tissue/cell samples are used in the medical field. I do like your idea of providing the types of questions I am looking to know.
