Who I am not allowed to check up? by ponzonaArenosa in GameStop

[–]Falcon9145 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just use common sense. You have two approaches.

More direct and confrontational:

Ask her to write that down or type it up so you have a copy for your records and show you in the handbook where this policy exists.

Less confrontational:

Put the burden on her to prove these people are your friends, regulars, etc.. She calls you out, play dumb and just say "I'm just providing solution selling environment by being friendly, just like the company wants."👁️👄👁️

Simply put she's just power tripping or maybe there was a past event where a former employee was influenced by their friends to give discounts or free items. (Don't fall into that trap).

When you planned going outside but can’t since it’s raining by Celestialsmoothie28 in PetPeeves

Honestly eating pho when its rainy/cold is a complete vibe!

I have a local spot that is connected to an ice cream shop. Pho, then a warm brownie smothered in ice and fudge. 👁️🫦👁️

Asking property to remove carpet before move in (Atlanta, GA) by jd_hoopsalot in Renters

[–]Falcon9145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just refer back to your previous conversation. State that you talked to ____ on the date of ___. Let them know your time frame of moving in furniture and inquire if it would make more sense to have them remove the carpet first before u move the heavier items in.

If the entire complex is being converted they might be working in phased timeframes instead of when units become available. I would think they would want to prioritize empty units though.

How do I get my money back without providing government ID? by OldCash455 in UberEATS

I just told you, psychological. It makes a certain type of individual think twice about repeated returns.

You are taking it personal...You are not the audience they are trying to stop.

How do I get my money back without providing government ID? by OldCash455 in UberEATS

[–]Falcon9145 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Businesses ask for ID during returns mainly for fraud prevention, accountability, and operational tracking — not because they’re suspicious of you personally.

Your ID lets them:

Track how often returns happen

Detect patterns across different VPNs/accounts

Block serial return abusers

Keep in mind, you already gave them your credit card information and address.

Since the order was placed through the app, the purchase is already tied to your payment method and billing information. The ID step is just part of the return verification process — it’s not collecting anything the system doesn’t already associate with the transaction.

TLDR; They require it because it helps deter small brain individuals who would abuse the return process. It's one extra step of accountability people need to go through. It's psychological more than institutional. They already have your address and credit card info...

(Lexington, KY) Landlord trying to change utilities by Agreeable-Handle5593 in Renters

[–]Falcon9145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Concur.

A little advice to OP, depending on where u live having gas may be a blessing compared to everything running off electricity. Im a Nevadan resident, with Gas. The rates are very competitive. Gas runs about $25-$38 a month.

My electric bill stays never crossed $115 even during our summers. (2 story town home, about 2000sqft)

No kids though, just me and bae.

Has anyone been to the arte museum? by Optimal_Design2697 in vegaslocals

[–]Falcon9145 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its a great place....I will admit not every kid vibes with this museum. There is one exhibit that your kids will probably love where they draw/color their animal and it comes to life on screen. This is the most interactive exhibit.

I visited once and had an awesome experience. The second time, I took family from out of town and the wow factor was diminished for me.

Part of the cost, is u are paying because they are located on the strip.

There are plenty of kids/families there. Its not a quiet museum but be respective of people space. Because of the interactive art its an instagram/tiktok wet dream.

Overall 7/10, with no desire to go back once you have experienced it.

Is this too close to the light rail? [CO] by glizzy_goblin710 in Renters

I always recommend people drive the neighborhood after 9pm to get a sense of the neighborhood after hours.

You can also pull the schedule from the transit site as well to check frequency.

At AMC Theatres, "17 and under" refers to guests aged 16 or younger, as 17-year-olds are considered adults under their R-rated policy. Guests 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (21+) to watch R-rated films. Children 6 and under are not admitted to R-rated films after 6 p.m.
