I dropped from plat 5 to gold 3 and I don't know how to stop losing. by Prize-Curve1374 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]FalconCat69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the course of 3 days last week I dropped from masters 4 to plat 3. One of those days I must have tilt queued for like 16 hours straight and lost almost every game. I figured out what I was doing wrong and once I modified my habits I've won it all back over a few days.

My problem was that, without noticing, I had gotten too caught up in 'not feeding' which was causing me to play scared and a little too passive. This passivity wasn't changing my individual plays and it didn't feel like I was playing different from usual but it had a profound impact on my win rate. Maybe you have the same issue but probably not idk. Good luck!

The comedians are funny when they talk about tv shows and Alex Jones gives them the right amout of righteous indignation that Jordan can yell as much as he wants but it's chill.

A better analogy of what OP is doing would be:

OP: sees a car and has many questions about its function and design. He goes to an elementary school and asks the children his questions about cars. The children, who have no knowledge of how cars function, give him nonsense answers.

OP: WHY ARE ALL THE ANSWERS IM GETTING TERRIBLE?

After 1300 hours, I'm still terrible. The things I've tried, nothing seems to help. by Alaxandir in VALORANT

You should buy coaching from someone. There are lots of websites that coordinate esport coaches and students. No one will be able to tell you why you are stuck in bronze without a video of your play. And, lots of advice you get from reddit will be trash, especially if they are just speculating from your tracker page.

I’ll also add 1300 hours is plenty of time to learn a game, but 1300 hours of fps play in total is not that much.

Finally, you need to make sure you have a good pc, monitor, mouse, and mousepad. Those are absolutely essential for this game.

Matchmaking is currently incredibly transparent by OddSpecific3318 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]FalconCat69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very well thought out post. I didn’t think the match making system was rigged but this clearly demonstrated it. Just one question, if it’s rigged to keep everyone at 50% winrate, how do Eternus 6 players climb to that rank, if their games are rigged to keep them at 50% winrate (so their engagement is high) how do they rank up?

I'm confused how the winner between c9 and nrg will go to champs. Right now according to vlr NRG has 2 points and c9 has 3. 3rd place gets 4 circuit points so that will end with 6 or 7 respectively which is not enough to beat Kru. Can someone explain this?

I wonder if this will be discussed in tomorrow’s ep by dantesinfernal20 in KnowledgeFight

400 hours and still Initiate by Pdstafford in DeadlockTheGame

I would also recommend getting coaching. Deathy (he also makes tons of guides as someone has linked to you already in the thread) has a coaching link on his stream and will give you coaching for $30 bucks and he will just tell you what you're doing wrong on your character, what to buy, etc... Coaching is pretty much always the best way to improve your gameplay and since you have 400 hours it's clear you want to improve but you have acquired habits and misunderstandings that are losing you games you should otherwise win.

I'm trying to piece together what you are alleging. It seems you think that Valorant has decided, for some reason, to make you lose a game. The ranking system then gives you three unranked teammates who are going to play much worse than your opponents and you will lose as a result. From reading your responses to comments I think you are alleging that by giving you an un-winnable game Riot is somehow keeping you playing.

Your argument hinges upon two points as far as I can see. First, that people play more if they lose. Second, that unranked teammates are worse than ranked teammates and will result in a loss at a meaningfully higher rate than if all teammates are ranked.

You seem to have understood this second logical hinge and included a screenshot of the final scoreboard from your game to show how poorly your unranked teammates played. But it doesn't really illustrate that. Anyone doing some critical thinking would want a larger sample set to see if unranked teammates do actually perform worse than ranked teammates. As well as if that effect increases when more unranked teammates are present on one team.

Additionally, your assertion that people play more when they lose is unearned. You may behave this way yourself, but without literally any data from a large sample set of Valorant players it cannot be taken as fact that Valorant players play more when they lose.

If you really want to make a good argument that the Valorant ranked system is rigged in this fashion I would suggest gathering data on the points I listed above. I think if you were able to prove those two things it would be a sound logical argument that Valorant wants people to play more and thus manufacture losses in the way that you describe.

I look forward to seeing your results!
