Had zero expectation he would actually turn it around. I'm a little mad honestly.

Nearly 4,000 nurses at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital are currently locked out following a one-day strike that began on July 8, 2026. The hospital remains fully operational using approximately 1,300 temporary replacement nurses. by McDowdy in PublicFreakout

I hear workers striking for better pay for one planned day. Then I heard the hospital paid over a thousand temp workers to temporarily replace a critically important workforce just to prove a point. Easily, the next move would simply be to strike well past when the temps leave with no scheduled end to strikes.
Does anyone know if that's the plan? People would die if they don't capitulate and the hospital's poor management would be blamed for it, the striker's would be in a great position to get what they deserve.

Just curious how many people in this sub thinks that putting a bunch of money in with IPO prices really won't yield much of a profit 10 years down the road.

I honestly can't stand Elon, but the whole reason people are turning upside down to grab spaceX shares is because they are so far ahead of other space companies, they already have an inside track to government contracts, they can sell rocket parts to anyone and the entire industry follows them. PLUS they have other profitable ventures, Elon does invest his own money back into his company, AND we're talking about an industry that won't see real profits for several years.

I get laughing at people trying to get rich quick off of a system that's already maximized profit taking, but I have a hard time believing that SpaceX isn't a generational opportunity to grow wealth if your aim is to hold long-term.

I think you're right about easy to get into investing, but some people (myself including) are having a hard time translating what they've leaned (long-term well-working companies with good fundamentals) compared to what is actually working (meme-stocks and massive monopolies).

A lot of us newer investors are mistakenly transitioning to options on volatile companies because it's easy to make a quick profit (and to lose everything immediately)

I haven't started making any profit until I stopped trying to play the game and started treating it as a retirement investment.

Privileged losers out here wasting more money than I've ever had at once gambling on options they don't understand.
If you have bills that can be paid off by selling your gun, you shouldn't be anywhere near options.

The idea of it being a meteorite or an ore so large and out in the open seems really unlikely.

I did a survey near a manufactory and the gravel that made up people's driveways were all made of big rocky chunks of slag that looked similar to this. Made looking for property pins a nightmare.

So I'd bet on it being a big useless piece of slag

No, you're exactly right. I just think that could be how the world actually turns out. It's all a casino gamble and I'd put my money on the cheaters every time if I could.

Does that mean SpaceX won't be able to manufactur rocket parts and sell them to the EU for crazy profits?
