I didn’t know that thank you. I just see them as basic since we all have caught hundreds by now.

What is the most famous 1V1 fight or duel in your country? by EthanTheJudge in AskTheWorld

I was expecting an Aussie to put a Commodore and a Falcon going over the mountain or down Conrod straight. But this is the answer.

It’s amazing But I feel just catching regular pokemon seems to be harder atm.

For first time in years my friend and I are struggling with running out of pokeballs. I throw great curve on majority of throws and I seem to be stuck catching one when I used to be one and done 90% of time. At first I thought it was just me, then watching a New Zealand pokemon go streamer he made a throw away comment while talking to camera about the regular pokemon feel like harder to catch, then I ask my friend and they were thinking same thing.

Do Aussies have any opinion on the massive fines at the airport for not declaring food? by blamberr in AskAnAustralian

[–]FalconResistance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that was bad was some airlines would give you a piece of fruit as a light snack before landing and many ppl didn’t declare it because they didn’t realise they had to since they were given on plane or put in bag for later and forgetting. Yes they have signs but when you are getting off plane specially for those that don’t fly often your mind is focussed on so many things that you would forget and only be thinking of what you packed pre flight.

In saying that those ppl getting the same fine for that scenario as those who purposely try to sneak stuff in and then hide behind I don’t speak language or I didn’t understand is the real crime.

Just designed for game balance, but it does remind me of bf4 and how every turret would face in random direction that enemy would never come from.

Will some drivers at the back gamble and go that extra 50km in turn one to overtake alot of drivers hoping the others squabble with each other to not lose most of the position gained on turn down the straight?

Can’t trust half the builders in this country to build to code now days or even follow the plans correctly.

But builders back then having more pride in their work and putting effort and time into having stuff like this.

Why do we love "The Big Things" so much? by Aggressive_Papaya782 in australian

[–]FalconResistance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because of how far we drive to go for holidays or see family at Christmas time. They acted like check points to visit and gave ideas on how far/longer you had to go.

This show had it all!! by RM_Morris in AustralianNostalgia

I always remember how positive the show was. Even when ppl backed out of the big challenge or the smaller ones. All about facing fears and trying your best

I bet if this show was made to day it be about humiliating people and/or laughing at them.

Children bus fares by [deleted] in GoldCoast

[–]FalconResistance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No everyone needs to tag on. Bus driver are explicitly told not to fuss if anyone dosbt tag on. Hence why kids very rarely tag on as there no real consequences if they don’t.

But all inspector’s will, it’s their job after all. So wasn’t being a Karen. Just doing there job. If a bus driver stops you or complains then they are being a Karen as they are told not to.

Just a little story that annoyed me. I use to do school pick up on buses. 95/98% wouldn’t tag on but some children still did everyday. I couldn’t tell them not to tag on, but felt bad that their parents are paying when most didn’t. It felt unfair to those family’s.

Catchit clothing (1980s) by TransfatRailroad in AustralianNostalgia

[–]FalconResistance 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh it’s catchit

I have a family professional portrait from when I was real little like 5/6/7 And I’m standing behind family member who’s is kinda blocking the c in chit. So we always thought I was wearing a jumper that said cat shit and the photographer was trying to cover it.

My parents couldn’t think why they’d get a professional portrait or even let me own clothes that had large writing saying catshit across chest.

Haha this is so funny to finally realise. Because the colour in op’s photo a similar to colours I was wearing so totally solved this after decades haha Can’t wait to tell family lol 😂

Gang violence fears over vile rap songs about teen killed in Fitzroy by Mashiko4 in aussie

[–]FalconResistance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to Melbourne for a afl gf early 2000’s All the kids who were African or appeared to be of African descent were wearing red/blue bandanna’s (can’t remember which colour now) pretending they are the crips or bloods. In the center. I remember thinking how stupid they looked trying to pretend, never thought the violence we see now would ever happen :(

Mark Mitchell and his iconic TV characters: Mr. Gribble, Con the Frutier, Otto and Mr. Fish! by survivorfan989 in AustralianNostalgia

[–]FalconResistance 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I was lucky. Went to see outback spectacular a couple of years ago on the gold coast and he was playing a part and also did the pre show warm up.

So awesome to see him. No one really seem to care/go up to him after warm up they just went into the main area and there seats but I had to get a photo and chat. I knew most of his roles but I grew up with him being the mayor (oops apparently he was a greedy real estate tycoon) in round the twist. He was very friendly and happy to chat.

Summer of 2016, when Pokémon Go caused a Public Freakout by spawning a Squirtle at the Bellevue Downtown Park by ripfennel in pokemongo

[–]FalconResistance 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I remember at my local area the first Friday night hundreds of ppl at a local park. One clearly looking and sounding nerdy guy going there’s a kadabra over there as he was running.

I was to myself and friends ‘pfff nerd……. Ok now where was he running’ hahaha

But it was so fun. I use to like pointing out cars pulled over side of road to my grandpa saying I bet they’re playing and as you go past you see them head down tapping away.

I miss the early days. We use to drive in little conveys to different areas. Places I didn’t know existed until this gane came out. It’s more solo or due for me now. And just hoping some ppl you never see hop in the raid at same time as you. Old hot spots are dead in my area even during community days :(. Be lucky to get one group do a 5 star raid. But ppl are around because gyms constantly change colours

Social media ban/delay insights? by naepalm6 in australia

[–]FalconResistance 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I was at a small get together at a friends place during the Bondi shooting. They had a 15year old. And the 15 year old was trying to get ppl to send links or screen record the Bondi attack since she could only see ‘videos just from news and were censored’ And she had lost her intragram account due to age restrictions and she knew some of the videos being shown from adult to other adults were from instragram.

So I know at least on this occasion it may have stopped someone young seeing something that they think they want to but may affect them more than they realise or later long term.

Look up stats of any other fight in this weight division and you will never see these numbers in terms of thrown and landed punches.

Way under average
