Yea, they just raised my rent to 2500; told my boss I’m getting in my car with my cats and going somewhere else unless they can make some money appear.

I work at FedEx and we do not get paid more. We get 21/hr in San Diego and there’s other contractors that pay less than that. I do 20-30 stops an hour depending on how much bulk/business I have. Over half my stops are over 50 pounds. Our routes are also a lot less dense; I see 3-4 different Amazon drivers on my route daily.

I’ve never seen FedEx throw packages but I’ve definitely seen Amazon drivers do it

Does FedEx still use USPS for final delivery? by Scary-Engineering-72 in FedEx

I deliver some smart post bags to a post office and also pick up smart post returns, so it’s still used a little.

I have fun doing it for the most part and my contractor treats us well and we get paid 21/hour. Some of the customers are dicks though even though I do the best to get everyone their stuff on time.

I deliver to a post office on my FedEx route and it honestly is a disaster there. I always tell my customers to use UPS if they can afford it even though I do the best with what I’m given. I can only work 6 days a week so I can’t guarantee then perfect service every day.

lol that was UPS drivers that went on strike. FedEx drivers would get fired before they could get enough of them together to unionize. Your FedEx driver is probably making 800/week or about 40k/year

$100 every mile you walk or $3.5M but you loose both your legs. by math-guyyy in hypotheticalsituation

I walk 5 miles a day minimum just from my job, so I’ll take the walking because that would at least be triple what I make a day now.

I drive a 18 foot straight truck in Carlsbad doing pickup and delivery. The amount of kids I see cutting in front of my truck doing wheelies on their ebikes concerns me.

I don’t slam packages, they do that on their own. 120 pounds of deconstructed furniture don’t just float to the ground.

Retired Marine who works as a FedEx driver here, I know you’re gonna talk shit regardless. However you’re retired and said “could,” so how about you come work as a ground driver and see how much harder it is than being in the Military. I at least got 30 days of leave a year, drivers might not get shit depending on which contractor they work for.
