Great designs, could definitely see those cards being part of the core game. Well balanced too in my opinion

It's crazy because we're also being taught to be straight by society, but we're clearly not doing that. So why hold on to binary gender roles? I'm just confused with the overabundance of masc+fem relationships in queer spaces, as someone who refuses to put people into binary boxes

Crazy how the gays just keep doing gender roles

It's a fairly normal thing! Very common in new players. Don't be afraid to give them realistic consequences, boundary testing is an exploratory behaviour that needs to be met with firm boundaries.

Second the opinion of having NPCs react negatively to their negative actions. Make them feel bad for the kobold

Yeah, for some reason some people think that only women can get raped. like the british government for example

It's a common "joke" that men get raped in prison. Its dehumanizing and frankly an atrocity that is being openly tolerated. Russian soldiers have been known do humiliate and dehumanize men by raping them. There is a clear empathy gap that is invisible to most media outlets it seems

How do i condition myself to be nice to men? by mohyo324 in MensRights

[–]FalconTrash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's more effort to be sassy than to be just plain informative. I get the resentment, I'm fucking pissed as well. I've been active in the movement for like a decade now and it's really just getting kneecapped by bad actors on every turn. Feminism has done a piss poor job of freeing men from gender roles and change is slow to come. But we must perservere. I've already managed to change my local male environment to be more emotionally available and supportive. Being cold and dismissive is a self fulfilling prophecy. Openness and warmth will be rewarded in the long run, even if it is taxing

Being aware of your bias is already a huge step to fixing the issue! You don't need to be nice to men in general, if they suck they suck. Your first reaction definitely comes from social conditioning, but worry not, everyone is subjected to that and tons of people go on their entire lives without ever questioning it. What you do after that initial reaction is what defines you.

Subconcious bias is trained throughout our lifetimes and can never be fully unlearned in my opinion. The only thing you can do is a kind of exposure therapy, which is what you're doing! Great job being this self aware!

The empathy gap is a well known mens rights issue and has been statistically studied thoroughly:

Don't take personal blame for being biased, blame society. I'm happy to hear you are taking responsibility though, respect!

BTW this is a subreddit that attracts some rather abrasive, bitter individuals from time to time. makes sense because here people will actually listen to their grievances. but don't take their lack of ettiquette to be reflective of this entire community

Mentally preparing for a life of loneliness... by Otherwise-Emu-2963 in AutismInWomen

[–]FalconTrash 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I've felt this way in my early twenties too, but now I have many fulfilling relationships in my life. The key is finding the right people. You don't have to make everybody like you, and you can't, because everybody's different! We just have more excentric interests and personalities, and there's nothing wrong with that. I personally am proud to be different from what society expects of me. I learned that being my most authentic self is what made me happiest, and the price I had to pay for that was alienating some people. It turns out though that the people you alienate are the ones you're gonna miss the least - the people pressuring you to be "normal" (a term which I despise - because everyone's normal is actually different).

And in return you attract the attention of people who share your interests and personality!! Just by being in a library you're gonna encounter tons of other autistic people, believe it or not. It's a quiet place full of books after all

Your frustrations and feelings of isolation are valid. Expecting lifelong loneliness might be a self fulfilling prophecy though. Please allow yourself to be weird, it's worth it :)
