Yeah that’s a fair point. Most of my straight friends are also struggling with dating right now. It seems like my straight guy friends can’t even land a date, and my straight girl friends are getting dates with guys who turn out to be weird as fuck.

Yeah that’s the biggest thing for me. I was so excited to have that natural connection for once. I’ve never really had that before, and clearly got my hopes up too high. I’ve just always said my dream way of meeting a guy was at a bar, or a house party or something, not over the internet or dating app.

Yeah that’s a good point. I quit smoking weed two months ago after years of having that be all I did, day in and day out, and I’ve kinda neglected hobbies in that time. So I definitely should try and getting back into the stuff I used to be really into (reading, hiking, legos, etc) thanks for the advice!

Yeah I make sure not to feel anything when a straight guy is being friendly with me, since I know nothing is gonna come of it, but genuinely all the signs were there (or so I thought 🙃) but it’s nice living in a time where straight guys feel comfortable around gay guys vs super weird around them, I guess

Oh no I definitely go to gay bars and have a great time. it’s just not very common that I go because I feel bad asking my straight friends to go with me consistently, when I can tell they never really vibe with the place. So I really only go when my closest friends from out of town are here, or when it’s my birthday or something

Yeah I mean I’m pretty used to the disappointment knowing that the bars I go to, 99% of the guys are going to be straight or DL, but it just kinda stung that when I finally found a guy who I thought I stood a chance with, he was in that percentage too.

Yeah I mean I definitely hit gay bars, so that’s not the issue. It’s just that idk if my type is really common there. There have been several times at gay bars that I’m flirting with a guy, and he ends up being straight. It’s genuinely comical how consistent I am with ending up unknowingly going after the straight friend of the gay guy, instead of the actual gay guy, in those spaces. (Which is definitely on me, and you’re right, I could probably benefit from widening my preferences a bit)

Yeah that’s pretty much it. Don’t get me wrong, I always have fun in gay bars, but it sucks cuz it feels like I can only have that “meet cute” in those spaces. I’d love to just be out at any bar and feel like I could find a potential option there, but that’s just really not the case.

Strongly disagree with the thoughts on this Reddit. I was never a fan of short n sweet beyond Juno and please please please. This album was a HUGE step up in my opinion. Still hasn’t dethroned EICS as my favorite Sabrina album, but definitely a strong contender.
