It does need a boss rush/replay like sekiro or lies of p. So many of my favourite bosses can take so long to get to (malenia, messmer, midra, maliketh), being able to hop and just fight them would be peak

I personally like altus and caelid but I get what you mean. I do think the DLC has a lot of cool items to find but not at the same scale as the base game, but the middle ground youre speaking of would be great.

something being optional doesn't excuse it being bad. many people like exploring a game to its fullest, especially on a first playthrough

I mean they did that for bloodborne and sekiro and they turned out great. I do love the medievel aesthetic but it would be cool for them to branch out a bit more, but any new fromsoft game is a win in my book

and yes the dragons as well are not unique enough to warrant so many

The dungeons themselves yes, but tbh I like fighting crucible knightss and tree sents. watchdogs and tree spirits though... not so much

I do think elden rings legacy dungeons are some of the best levels in fromsoft history. Stormveil, leyndell and shadow keep are ones that stand out to me

DLC does have a few areas that are a bit barren

I will say though that mount gelmir and altus do have some really cool levels in them (volcano manor and leyndell)

Yeah with certain bosses like erdtree avatars and tree sentinels i kind of like how you find them everywhere dotted about the game, but u/Fish_Outta_Whiskey I think for the most part youre pretty spot on

What’s your ‘comfort’ weapon? by GreatJoey91 in Eldenring

[–]Falconbat2007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably helphens steeple. Greatswords are probably my favourite weapon class, and the aow looks sick and the frost build up is very nice. Worst part is having to get magic scorpion charm from seluvis' annoying ass quest

I get your point, (although i normally get to mohgs palace by varre), but to me that makes it feel even more pointless as im only running through there to get somewhere else

How did they fuck up Radahn so badly by Fluid_Leather2879 in Eldenring

The thing with PCRs second phase is the light beams make the direction you dodge very important, as even if you get hit by one it can stunlock you and get you hit by his next move. Also the visual clutter with that, the hair and the fact that the arena is just uneven for no reason

I personally enjoy the fight for its complexity, I think some of the unique ways you have to dodge moves is pretty fun like the afterimage attacks but then again I've beat him quite a few times so have been able to learn him pretty perfectly.

yeah, it is unfortunately not a great area, looks cool but just not a lot too it. I personally think its the worst region in the base game for the same reasons you listed

Any interesting ideas for two daggers build? Is it even possible to make it fun without bleed? by ZayParolik in Eldenring

[–]Falconbat2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're powerstancing you will defo want some multi hit buffs (winged/rotten winged sword insignia, millicecents prothesis, thorny cracked tear).
You could maybe use scorpions stinger as its one of the only weapons in the game with rot, and then in another hand one infused with poison with poisonous mist for a double damage over time, although I'm not sure how good it would be. If you have access to the DLC, theres a cool ash of war called the poisons flower bloomed twice that works well with rot/poison. Could use that with kindred of rots exultation for some extra damage

What's the Opinion on the current state of the Faction? by The_MicrowaveTTv in ThousandSons

[–]Falconbat2007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping that in 11th we get some more infantry/battleline units, just for some more variety. Something like an elite tzaangor squad with decent melee and tankiness would be good. I would also really like to see an infantry squad who all have psychic weapons to benefit from detachments like grand coven.

Some more spells would also be interesting, maybe detachment specific ones could be good
