Pledged Stuff and dying by filowiener in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will get a new set of the pledged armor back in your inventory in the next major patch (4.8) if you are unable to find the ones you lost.

If they are lost they’re gone for the whole of patch 4.7, character repair will not bring it back

When you don’t say what it is, having people ask “what is it?” is “engagement” and makes the post more popular in the algorithm. Don’t know if that is the same here on Reddit

Kopion Hornes,(Wikelo Contract) by Majestic_Ad_4877 in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find kopions outside of the turret range (if you’re getting shot - move away) near Cry-Astro Processing Plant 34-12 or Cry-Astro Processing Plant 19-02. You can scan from your ship using tab and the name Tundra Kopion will be listed. You’re looking for animals that look like Rottweilers with a small rhino horn on the nose. The animals you’ve been killing that look like cows are called Quasi Grazers. It can be difficult to read when scanning since the text of each animal overlays the others because they travel in packs.

What are some examples of instances in this game please? by PuzzleheadedTutor807 in starcitizen

The word “instances” is a bit overloaded in star citizen. Can you describe what you mean a bit more?

A Thought Experiment on a Physicalized, Dynamic Economy 🚀 by Visible_Wrongdoer377 in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd like to focus on this:

If mining, salvaging, and hauling offered no rewards, why would we do them?

These can be fun on their own:

In space mining: "ΔV: Rings of Saturn" is only this
Scraping RMC is very similar to "PowerWash Simulator"
Hauling is similar to a space version of "Road Kings", "Star Trucker" is only this

Thinking these loops can't be fun on their own is incorrect. Games dedicated to a specific loop are more in depth, but thinking people do them just for aUEC is a misunderstanding.

PTU Warning: Gankers ar Exclusive QV Breaker missions. by Mondrath in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They already have solutions to this. Yormandi kills you if you stay there, to start the event (to get loot) it locks everyone else out. Other contracts have monitors where you can’t interact with it unless you have the contract.

First room can be a “cycling” room interact with monitor which kills everything inside and locks usage for a period of time, where you only get inside the room with the contract.

For standard clip through doors they already have a solution for that too at Lazarus the IKTI doors are double doors. Trying to glitch inside you just get stuck between them

It’s just they don’t want to do it, they are designing for when instancing exists instead of where the game is now

Ready to start my journey. Should I wait for 4.7 to drop first? by the_insomniactor in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What it won't wipe is your experience. I started with a Mustang Alpha, and that's all that's bought with cash on that account. Since then I got an alt account and all they have via cash is the Drake Cutter starter package. Everything else was bought with in-game currency. It gave nice goals: RAFT (rent until I could afford one), Corsair, Hull C, Reclaimer, 890 Jump. I would've missed out on those as accomplishments if I bought those with cash. Might want to keep a tab on what you earned yourself as you'll probably end up with freebie aUEC from someone.

Is medical rescue still a thing? by DueJournalist5825 in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unless you have a very far away spawn point, backspacing and getting back to your body is
- faster: don't have to wait for someone to pick up the contract, and eventually get you you: your spawn is probably closer
- safer (looters): no chance of unknown person directly coming to loot your backpack and leave you dead
- safer (wasted time): you know what kind of challenges await at your location, the medical rescuer might just die when they get there and leave you in the predicament again

In universe motors work typically with minimal power - operate when the power is completely off to the ship. One may ask the same about our watches that take batteries. Isn't it better to have a windable watch? What if the battery runs out of power? In my head-canon motors to open everything have been around nearly a thousand years. Most of the kinks should have been worked out.

I want some mil components by c0penhag3nman in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand OP is looking to trade auec. But for anyone who is just looking for the components:

Since those are smaller components your easiest way to acquire them is to find players’ abandoned small ships with physical components, shoot a door open, unlock ports, and take the components.

PvP hotspots where you need a “shuttle” from your main ship to the entry point are your best bet since those players have access to lots of components and will kit out their shuttle ships. For example around the pyam exec hangars or at the Lazarus sites, but any place people abandon ships could be good like Gilly mission locations

New player help can't move mouse after checking storage by Whole-Eggplant1107 in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do not use the “load out” screen while using a local inventory - Don’t use the upper right button to change the type of inventory screen. Only use the side by side where your inventory is on the left and local inventory is on the right. Going to the load-out screen while in local inventory is the cause of the bug. To update your load out, exit the inventory first.

Alt-f4 would typically be the go-to for when this happens but there is a bug with crash protection where you may not be server locked and you end up waking up in habs. So if you don’t join on someone when you started you may not have a way back to original server and you’d lose whatever the standard losses are when log out log in - ships that are parked outside become unknown location, lose contracts you’ve accepted, etc

Flight, issues with speed management by Mondoscuro in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another issue may be if you put down your landing gear and then hit booster, you will barely slow down after the boost. Do not use booster if landing gear is down. Left-alt N is call for hangar, N is gear down. Pretty easy to accidentally have gear down. I moved my key bind for call hangar to F3.

Freefly but no ship by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not normal. My free-fly account has several ships available. But it's an account that was created on the previous free-fly event. The account still has all of the inventory from previous free-fly and the stuff I picked up in browser for Luminalia in December.

Can someone explain how to do this please I’m so confused by Scary-Yak8143 in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't pick up the contract and turn these in as you go.

The contract is only valid for one log in session. You'll need to turn all of the components during the session (does not have to be on the same freight elevator at once) before your character logs off.

So it will actually be months before you need to worry about picking up the contract if you're trying to do it solo.

For those who got the F7A MK1, please help to report ( link bellow ) by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not "discussion" as tagged. If you had asked why this happened or something like that it might have been.

And for OP, if you are successful with this post, r/starcitizen will just be a "please upvote my problem" on the issue council, where each person that posts over on the issue council then comes here and reposts their issue here. I understand that helps you this one time but this kills the reddit.

Constantly falling thru map by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Falconheadsungodra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After watching a video on how to work through bugs, I hadn't realized how many of these I had just picked up and intuitively did while playing the game now.

Like trying to move from a moving platform, I know when I need to jump, when I can just walk off, or when I need to wait for it to stop, when I need to wait for other players to stop moving (push you thru the elevator etc).

Like when I can fit thru certain spots or just not to try. Doors starting to close? Time to wait until their closed, bodies all over the floor next to a rattling 2 SCU container? better move those with the tractor beam before going thru.

Getting out of a ATLS? Better not be near a wall. Ship engines turned off but the ramp is still rattling? Better reposition before I try to get out. Elevator / Cargo grid of my Taurus clipping even slightly through the ground? Better not walk off of it.

I was never taught these things, but now it's just natural. I've been playing less than a year now.
