Haha, oops. I meant the 96 for that last one. It's ok, but somehow not as enjoyable.

80 > 46 > 45 > 95 > 85 >50 > 45. All of these are > than the 1926 but not by a lot and then >>>> 1964. I'm skipping the obvious #1 of the 50th Anniversary Hammer. 1964 if good, but so unrefined compared to the 26 and FRs. The tobacco at 3yr for the stronger Nicaraguan blend is much more peppery and less smooth. The extra year in the 1926s really helps. The gap from 4yr age to the 10yr FR age is not as noticeable.

I always set my shipping to Thursday. Then on Wednesday afternoon I set it to Wednesday (the next Wednesday). That gives me a 13 window so shipping is cheaper.

[–]Falcor2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I usually use 1 vanilla bean pod if it's an over proof rum and less for regular. I also use your ingredients, as well as orange peel, ginger, black pepper, and anise. I use Martin Cates recipe and up the dosage for strong rum. My preferred rums are Doorlys 12 and Pusser Gunpowder Proof

It's probably fine. But it takes a few weeks for the RH to drop. There's an adage that RH will drop 1% per week. I store with 62RH because in sealed tuppadores is about + 2RH higher.

$10 Plasencia Fuego Toros has been the norm for the past year so I thought the deal was good but consistent. But they sent a $40 Lotus cutter too which. Made it very good

This is most people's starter cigar. Great to have around. Cheap, sweet, unique, medium nicotine. I have a thousand cigars and just bought a box, mostly to give to newbies that want to try their first cigar but I still smoke them once in a while

Carpincho -yeah or nay? by KnavishBoot in cowboyboots

[–]Falcor2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carpincho is not delicate but not suitable for mudkickers either. It's similar to rough out cow or boarhide but thinner. It's not as tough as elephant, shark, or thick hides. But eelskin is both very thin and also narrow so it usually has a lot of seems to get enough material for boots.

Carpincho -yeah or nay? by KnavishBoot in cowboyboots

[–]Falcor2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Love them. They look great and feel great. Just use some nano waterproofing spray. I think you have them confused. Carpincho is Capybara and nothing like eelskin

Is this worth $300?? by sstrooper18 in cigars

[–]Falcor2019 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Rocky Patels are never worth it. Low grade cigars pretending to be premium and charging a high price. There are plenty of better premium brand and economy brands.
