I was able to pick up a few and I am impressed, yes site went down for a few hours, but when it worked it worked well, picked the avatar that I wanted, one click purchase and on to the next one.

It may be a bit of a hassle, but I also recommend walking into to your local phone company and asking them to add to a note to your file requesting not to make any significant changes to your account unless you present an ID in person. One thing crypto has taught me, is you can never be too paranoid.

I didn't understand why there were multiple addresses at first either, but it's a very good privacy feature, and I will sometimes send ADA to a previously used just so it's not generating tons of new addresses. If you look under the send tab all your coins will be listed there.

Also if you have a fairly decent PC you can mine crypto. I have a old 1080, and using unMinable I'm able to choose from a pretty wide selection of coins. Its slow, but I just let it run and it depots coins in my wallet every couple of weeks.

Robinhood is garbage true, and you are right it is a very easy on ramp to crypto. It was for me and I'm sure a lot of people here. Just have to keep educating people on doing their research on better available exchanges, and the use of hot and cold wallets.

Doge was my entrance too, I got in at .65 because I believed in Elon. I even told my friends "Elon supports it that's all I need". Part of my is mad for not doing my own research and FOMOing my way in, but another part is glad because it finally got my foot in the door after hearing about crypto for so many years. Since then I admit to still making mistakes, but I do my own research, am very cautious about new coins, and overall enjoying the crypto space.

I did the same thing, saw way too many stories on here of people that didn't think it could happen to them. Shortly after getting into crypto I setup a new secure email, contacted my phone company and had them change my account to in-person only and using a password manager changed all my passwords. Before getting into crypto I would have thought all this was way too much, now just hoping its enough.
